Sleep Journal - Day 2

Went to bed at 11:00 p.m. Woke up at 4:30 to use the bathroom. Went back to sleep and awakened at 6:30. I got a total of 7 hours sleep.

Yesterday, I did not take an hour long walk. I did take the folic acid, but not the Omega 3, multivitamin, or the calcium. I will do that today

I am starting this sleep journal to try to track when I am and am not sleeping well. About a week ago, before I read the article on sleep in SparkPeople, someone told me that taking folic acid might help me sleep better. I started taking it and almost immediately I was sleeping through the night and not waking up at 2:30 or 3:00 a.m. A month before that a friend told me that sometimes taking my multivitamin, calcium, and omega three capsule right before I went to bed could improve my sleep. It did.

This sleep journal will affirm for me what is working and it will give me a clue when things go off kilter. I'll have a record of what might have been the cause.

I slept well last night - 7 hours. I took my folic acid before heading for bed, but not the omega 3, the calcium, or the multivitamin. Earlier in the day, I walked for about an hour.
