Back to work.

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Got my Boot Camp done today, and I'm not too sore. I must be getting better. Even got squats, calf raises, shrugs, and lunges in while making dinner (hope no one was looking in the kitchen window). DD#1 is coming to stay with MIL tomorrow afternoon so we can go see Avitar. I'll have to get my work out in early, but I can do that.

No Boot Camp today.

Monday, January 11, 2010

What a day. If it could go wrong, it did. If it could break, it did. Had to stay late, so no Boot Camp today. Perhaps I will try to get some extra cardio today. On a brighter note, 3 people asked if I'm losing weight. That made me feel good.

What a blessing to find some "ups" to balance the "downs" of your stressful day! That positive thinking is the best way to succeed! I hope today is a calmer day for you.

Getting some cardio done tonight will be a good idea so you can get rid of the stress of your long day. Keep up the good work!

Good way to look on the bright side. Some days are just like that. Tomorrow will bring another opportunity. I had a whole week-end like that so really understand how you feel. Take care.

Short work day

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Sunday is usually a quiet day at work, and today was no exception. I got a nice walk in going up one set of stairs, and down the next. Even managed some lunges and squats. We close at 5 instead of 7 on weekends, so got my Boot Camp video in when I got home. So far, so good.

Running late today

Saturday, January 09, 2010

Just finished my Boot Camp video. The dips killed me! My shoulder doesn't like this one at all, but did the best I could. I'll feel it tomorrow.

Way to go. Push yourself, but don't hurt yourself! Take care of that shoulder.

"Scale Back Alabama" is starting again this year. My department at work needed one more member for their team, so I joined. We weigh in Jan 25th and the goal is for each team member (there are 4 per team) to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks. We must report to be weighed every 2 weeks and there are lots of prizes for individual weight loss, and team weight loss. I thought it would be a great motivation to stick to my routine. We shall see!

Good luck. I find having a bit of friendly competition makes it more motivating to try harder. Enjoy your 10 weeks.

Sounds like a great idea. Challenges are always a good way to achieve a goal and having a team to work with will give you the support and help you along the way.

Great job! Joining a competitive team will help you work hard. You will want to do your best to win those prizes if not for your own personal gain, to be healthy! Stick with it the best you can, and don't let others pull you down if you aren't matching up to what they can do. Do what YOU can do and be proud of the accomplishments you make. Good luck and have fun with this!
