Today is celebration day for me! My goal was to be 145# by 9-2-09 - made it a week early!
BUT - instead of splurging on food in celebration for the loss of 71.2# over the last year, we will go shopping! LOL...
Nah -I have replaced the larger attire as I went along, and then got to replace, again and again.
I am so thankful God has helped me reach this goal, for it was through much prayer and persistence I was able to reach this point! It definitely takes a mind that is made up and persistence, as there are many temptations along the way... It is so WORTH IT!
I will give in to Mexican food though! A fajita is not too bad as long as it is chicken and without the tortillos
Spark is such a wonderful way to go - in helping to keep track of everything, as well as the many friends who are here pulling for you. So many helpful points to aid you along the way. I am a member of a huge organization in weight loss which helped greatly, but I will have to say the online access for SparkPeople is my preference. I am just sorry I did not find the "Spark" until I was way into this journey ...
Happy trails to all who are in this with me! WE CAN DO I!
Well I must say this has been a great day with me - - in that I was able to clean out my closet of all the plus sizes, as well as other clothes I could not wear, packed them up, and sent them on their way to a church caring center.
God is so good, for I realize it is only by His help I have been able to accomplish this.
I still have at least 10# to go, and I realize the last pounds are so hard to lay aside, but persistence always pays off.
I loved the blog of the letter to Laine Bryant....the gist of the letter was that the person writing the letter would not shop there anymore.
My feelings exactly!
It's great to have the freedom to shop in the smaller size department,
and since I cleaned out my closet, I will have room for clothes that fit.
Here it is February already! I am striving to lose at least 15# by our wedding anniversary (61st) which is June 4th - actually I will give myself another week to June 12th, as that was the day I went back to Weight Watchers.
The last pounds are soo hard to get rid of.
I started on Weight Watchers June 12, 2008, and as of today, I have lost 50+ pounds.
I would like to lose at least 20# yet, and am so happy to have found SparkPeople. It's exciting to read the different challenges all have faced, and are doing something about it.
