Well, here it is January 20 already...I've been doing the bootcamp...there have been a few days when I didn't really want to do the videos (oh, wait a minute...like today...), but I just keep telling myself I can do anything for 10 minutes (then come to find out, when I clicked on the link for today's video, it was only 5 minutes...woohoo!!)...anyhow, haven't missed a single day and have actually done my regular fitness routines in addition to the bootcamp videos...so this has been an extra in the fitness department for me!!
I get up at 4:30 am so I can do an hour or so of exercise before I go to work...this is a great way to start my day...it really does put me in a better frame of mind...not to mention I don't have the thought of my workout hanging over my head all day...I usually get home from work tired (I'm on my feet running around all day, very little sitting down on the job for me), so to know I've already completed my workout that early in the day is huge!! I manage to get in some additional walking on my breaks at work so I often don't have to work out at all when I get home from work.
I'm really making an effort to plan and prepare my meals and snacks ahead of time...I kind of got away from that when I was working so many hours the last few months of the year..I've been doing really well with this so far this year...it makes such a difference, makes it so much easier to stick with my plan. Today I prepared a home made pizza piled high with veggies (had a bell pepper and mushrooms in the fridge that I needed to use and thought pizza sounded good) and just a little cheese. Now I have my lunch ready to go for the next several days, just add a salad and a piece of fruit! Healthy and tasty...satisfies my pizza craving with minimal fat and greatly reduced calories!!
Now to do something about my sleep...
