Knowing What to Write

Does anyone really know what to write in their blogs?

Sometimes I just don't know where to start. I posted yesterday that I would write in my blog today so here I am.........but what to write about?
I can start off by telling you that I was going to take today off from exercising but instead I did a 30 minute Ab DVD and ran for 45 minutes. I upped my running speed and ran at an incline too. I am so happy I did that. I always feel more energized when I exercise.
I also made a new recipe in my new slow cooker. I tried one of the Spark recipes the other day and thought today I would try inventing my own. So, I made a Mexican Chicken Soup. It turned out delicious! A bit high in sodium but I think since I rinsed the beans and peppers the sodium was probably lower than the recipe calculator stated. Anyone else know if that really helps?
I was also wondering how many other women were pulling out gray hairs today? I know I'm getting older but I think I'm taking it pretty well. I haven't run out for Botox or anything like that but I am pulling out my grays that I find and noticing those little lines around my lips. UGH! Been using ROC to help but I guess I'll never look as young as before emoticon I'm also noticing my hands are looking older too. When did all this happen? How did I miss this? So with all this happening I'm making sure to exercise and get back to the weight I should be.
Well, tomorrow is another day. And another struggle to make sure I do my workout and eat healthy. It's so hard to eat all those fruits and veggies! I want cake! But I will not give in until I'm where I want to be.
I guess for someone not knowing what to write I wrote enough emoticon

    I just write about what's happening each I'm feeling. I look at my blog as me talking to myself. Mine's been a very big help the last few weeks.

    When I think about what to blog about I try to find something that is thought provoking or soul searching, introspections from my life that hopefully will inspire others. And oh I know that getting older thing. I am shocked how white/grey my roots look now when I come up for coloring.. I hate it. But I guess none of us can hold back time.

No McDonald's for Me

I almost did it. I almost sabotaged all my hard work this week. Our power went out just as I was cooking dinner. And I was hungry! My husband and I waited about 10 minutes and had decided at that point we didn't want to sit in a restaurant so we opted for drive thru at McDonalds.
Well, someone must have been watching over me. The power came on just as I was tying my shoe to leave. So instead of a McDonalds double cheeseburger, fries and a mocha frappe I ate a Gortons Grilled Salmon, a baked potato and green beans. Hurray! Got through another day of working out and eating. Tomorrow I do cardio and then have Sunday off before I start back with my exercise on Monday. Who knows, maybe I'll go for a leisurely walk on Sunday emoticon

    Good for you! I'm glad it worked out for your health. I succumbed to a McDonalds Happy meal - shared with my parrot Peter (he loves the occasional drive-thru treat). I'll be back on track once again. Make sure you go for that walk!

Almost copped out

I woke up and was having my coffee in front of the computer like I usually do and thought I worked out hard yesterday, perhaps I'll take the day off. But just recently I made Spark my homepage and when I saw I started to feel guilty. So I checked my tools to see what I was doing today for exercise. UGH! Weights and cardio! So I pushed myself away from the computer, changed into my workout clothes and just started my weight training. Once I got going it got easier and I felt more awake and stronger. Before I knew it I was done with that and heading out to the treadmill. I didn't run today but just walked for 35 minutes. And now that I"m sitting here writing this tonight I am feeling so much better knowing I did it and didn't cop out! emoticon
