Although I don't post updates, SparkPeople has been vital in my life. This site has been a daily habit that I have no intention of breaking.
Once I realized that part of my new lifestyle is being accountable to MYSELF it made things much easier. The last two years have been spent gaining a new attitude about food and moving. By moving I just mean getting off the couch and going for a walk. My goal is to reach the 10,000 steps per day that is the suggested recommendation.
Exercise was NEVER in my vocabulary, even when I was young, but just two weeks ago I joined a gym. Living in Minnesota, winters can be brutal. There really were very few days that I missed my walk even with the weather, however getting older I'm more concerned about falling and felt this might be a safer route. It's also important to note that I hadn't seen any changes to my body in quite some time so am looking forward to the next chapter in my ongoing lifestyle.
It's so easy to log in every single day and the amount of information available to us is really unbelievable. We should all feel very lucky.
