We had a really tough week dealing with hospital visits and some stressful situations and now that everything is settled and everyone is okay it's time to get back on track with logging my food and getting my workouts in! It's amazing how things pop into your life so easily and distract you from your goal. Makes it hard to remember where your priorities for yourself are!! Started with a little bike ride today and a trip to the grocery store so we get back to packing lunches and making dinners!!

I made it jogging 4 out of my 5 days last week, It started POURING on friday so i took the lazy tv watching after work approach. Saturday it continued to rain and was the county fair, aka eat fried food day. I went with a girlfriend and only had a sausage on a stick and some fried oreos.

This week started a little stressful as we had to take our truck to the shop on saturday (which meant riding together and he leaves at 6 :( )and my husband had a licensing exam for his job yesterday. The great news is he passed!!! and I had the morning off so I was able to ride my bike to the shop to pick up the truck which is now running like new ($838 later...) Not bad for 190k miles!

Hoping for a weekend or a few days where we can relax a little and hopefully get out and kick the soccer ball around which we haven't been able to do in a few weeks!!

My job has me leaving fairly early in the morning 7-730, and getting home between 530 and 7 most nights. I'm tired, and exercising is hard!! This week i'm going for 2 laps around my apartment complex every day after work (about 1.5 miles). Monday is done! only 4 more to go!

blogging 101

I need some sort of intro to blogging class...
So far things are going okay. Starting into week 2! I love the app for tracking my food. I haven't been super exact with it, but i try to pick the closest option or choose something that might be a little over. I went over in my calories one day mostly due to my poor choice in starbucks beverage, which is biggest downfall. My job is home health, which leaves me driving house to house all day. Each day i have a 1-2 hour break (or 2 breaks) where i end up doing my paperwork at starbucks (also the best in bathrooms for those who work out of their cars!). I am trying to limit myself strictly to iced coffees rather than a sugary mocha. I had 2 of those this week though. It's pretty sad when you look at your pie chart for what you ate that day and 1/4 of it is a drink :/ I have been able to avoid the pastry case though and that is an accomplishment for me, so i'm happy about that. I'm just hoping to stay strong and continue in the right direction while still enjoying some tasty things!!

    oh Starbucks, you do us all in! I have just come to embrace Americanos and iced coffee....that's all you can do. As a treat I sometimes get a skinny latte, esp the pumpkin spice this time of year!

Good job on avoiding the treats though, they sure are hard to resist some days!
