Bet ya’ll thought I forgot. Well I havnt life has just sort of gotten in the way lol (I know like that is anything new to any of us).

So WEEK 3….Let Go of the Idea that Gentle, Relaxed People Can’t Be Superachievers

HOLY COW PIES BATMAN….there is hope for me after all.
See I am more one of those laxed people. Probably a little to laxed at times, which means I end up being all super stressed and running around like a chicken with my head cut off (why do we use that expression so much?).
It says that one of the major reasons so many of us remain hurried, frightened, and competitive, and continue to live life as if it were one giant emergency is fear of being lazy and apathetic (ya had to look that one up lol). I am gonna have to say this one isn’t one I really have a problem with. I know it will get done and life will go on either way. I reckon this week will be an easy one lol.
So it suggests hanging out with people who are laxed , peaceful loving people….guess I need you all to come hang with me for the week hehehehe.

Ya I am home and didnt blog on Sunday like I should have. Truth be told I am having one rotten time with this one and felt I needed to work on it some more. The main thing being the perfectionism with myself and this journey of mine. I do PERFECT one day and blow it in some lame way the next (some times its as simple as not getting my lotion on my elbows and feet). Well when I blow it, I suck it for the rest of the day and sometimes the next. Not with calories per say but def with my choices. BUT I CAN MAKE A PERFECT grilled cheese sandwich and a PERFECT peanut butter and jelly. Yes I know not good choices. SO on that note, I am working on not being perfect and being okay with it still. I cant really see any sense in going to the next when I cant go one day without screwing up this one (oh hey lookey there, nothing perfect about that).

    I have come to the conclusion that I am perfectly imperfect. And it works for me.

Like Becky said, if we were all perfect, we would not have met. And I wouldn't be sitting on my butt in front of a computer, I'd be off doing whatever a perfect person would be doing...lol.

I think you're pretty awesome just the way you are and I'm really glad to call you my friend.

Sweetheart, NO ONE can be perfect. It's just not humanly possible. If we had that capability spark people wouldn't even exist! We wouldn't have met and we wouldn't be planning a great trip to skydive together!

So, I like what Tooter said: good enough lasts longer. Perfection is never going to be attained and the stress you put on yourself trying to be perfect isn't worth it.

I love you and hope you make progress with this one! It's a major one....

    love your idea of doing each item for a week.

i have this book too. it lives in my bathroom and everyday i randomly open it and whichever page it lands on that is my focus of the day.

good luck with your project.. we are always a work in progress.. and remember, perfection is temporary, good enough lasts longer :)

Well here is part of week 2....the whole perfectionist crap....I am in Eugene and forgot to bring the book with me so week 3 is I AM CLUELESS lol. Guess thats part of not being perfect.

Dont Sweat the Small Stuff week 2

Well last weeks was actually to not sweat the small stuff. I think I did a relatively good job at it. There were a couple times I started to let things get to me, but did pretty good. I am def not saying I did great lol.

SO THIS WEEKS IS....

MAKE PEACE WITH IMPERFECTION....

Basically it says that we spend so much time desiring things to be perfect that we spend the majority of our time unhappy, trying to make things perfect. Enjoy things the way they are dont just see how wrong/bad/diff it should be.... SO STOP.... LOL

This one might be trickier than it sounds for me....it goes along with dont sweat the small stuff though so we shall see.

    That's one I struggle with too Marcy. Remember Yoga's lesson about "Do or Do Not, but there is no try". Well when I watched that as a kid, I thought it meant if you couldn't do it 100% the first time, then you shouldn't try at all. I learned from working with kids that a better lesson is practice makes perfect. I just try to create good habits now, but allow myself a little breathing room.

    One thing I learned in my work with people, is that PERFECTION leads (in many cases) to STUCK. Stuck in the thought that, what is the POINT, if it isn't going to be perfect RIGHT NOW.
