If you do what you've always done...

So with this eating plan I am doing pretty much the opposite to what I've ever done before. I've done so many diets - low cal, low carb, low fat, high fat, high protein, vegan, raw vegan, vegetarian, macrobiotic - honestly I have driven myself mental trying to figure out how and what and when to eat!

In the past year I have gained 30 pounds - and the way I have done that is basically I've been on the Sumo diet (so I recently read to my shock!) - no breakfast, lots of sweet milky tea, huge lunch with lots of bread, maybe some crisps for a snack, then a huge dinner often laden with pasta potatoes or rice - often washed down with plenty of wine! I have also done hardly any exercise in this time. I do believe that the medication I am on made the weight gain worse, but I am slowly weaning myself off these which I hope will help with weight loss and give me a bit more energy.

OK - so - here's the plan... I quit drinking a few weeks ago and I plan to keep that going. I am eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with 2 snacks. No sugar, no soy, no bread, no pasta, only small portions of potatoes and rice (measured). Plenty of protein every time I eat, not too much fat, smaller portions but eating more often. I have always loved fruit and veggies so I will keep that up.

Let's hope doing something completely different will give me completely different results!

Issues I want to overcome...

i thought I would write a bit about the issues I want to overcome so if I all of a sudden start feeling well on my eating-clean program I will be able to read back here and realise how crap I felt before!

- double chin
- fat face
- huge butt
- anxiety & depression & low self-esteem
- sore tummies
- sore throat and itchy ears (usually from sugar and bread consumption)
- bad period pain
- dry skin
- chapped lips
- sore lower back
- sore shoulders (rotator cuff injuries)

Well I think that's it - I hope eating a better diet will really help some or all of these - yaayy!

    I hope you find the relief you seek - I know eating better has made me feel a lot better overall, particularly since adding the exercise component. Hope you find the same satisfaction!
