I was so busy that I didn't even blog during my first fast this week. But I did fast, so all is well. I fasted today too, but went over my my calorie limit, because of a miscalculation. So my ending calorie count for the day is 622.
Today is my weigh-in day. I gained a half a pound over the Thanksgiving weekend. That's actually not bad, considering that my brother was visiting us and we ate out a LOT while he was here. But now it is time to get back down to business and make sure that the weight keeps inching downwards!
I have a jewelry show this coming weekend. I have finished making sure that all my jewelry is tagged--always a tedious job. I think I am more or less ready. I hope the shoppers are ready too!

There was no good day for my 2nd fast this week. I'm invited to a friend's house this evening and then family is coming for Thanksgiving weekend. So I'm doing the next best thing. I'm fasting today, just through dinnertime and I'll keep my calories on the low side, before I visit my friend, after dinner.
Busy time of year. Today I created a 20% off banner for my jewelry shops for T-day weekend and am continuing to increase inventory. Laundry today, plus holiday clean up. Slept poorly last night so haven't had much energy today. Wish I'd gotten more done.
I weighed in today and have lost 3 lbs. in 3 weeks!
Lunch - 230 cal.:
Low cal. tortilla wrap, 4 thin slices deli meat, lettuce, jalapenos.
Weight Watchers recipe for chicken tortillas. Salad.

Fasting today was a little harder than the previous 4 times. I had some hunger pangs, but reminded myself that the hunger doesn't build and build, but rather it comes in waves and then subsides.
Yesterday I found some high fiber, low cal tortilla wraps that are only 60 cal each. I ate 3 of them over the course of the day.
Lunch - 104 cal
Marinated vegetable salad and romaine lettuce in a tortilla wrap. 3 radishes and a stalk of celery.
Dinner - 344 cal
2 Tortilla wraps, lettuce, i wedge Laughing Cow cheese, 6 slices thin deli turkey. Greek yogurt with a sprinkle of granola.
There's still about 100 cal left, so I'll have a little snack before bed.

Weigh-in today: I lost 1 pound!
Its a bummer not to eat with my husband on fast days, so I decided to try making something from my Cooking Light cookbooks, and I'll just measure out my calorie controlled portion and my husband can eat as much as he wants of the rest.
Lunch - 134 cal.: slice of bread from a sourdough baguette, topped with 1 string cheese.
Still working on making and listing jewelry in my shop as we head into the holiday season. I definitely need more bracelets, above all else. Hope to finish listing the necklaces I've made, today and then focus on designing those bracelets. I also want to get started, today, on the book review I'm writing for "The Missing Link" by Cindy Wimmer. So I've plenty to do today, to keep my mind off fasting.
Dinner - 176 cal.: I made the most delicious salad tonight! It only has 176 cal. but it is very satisfying. I measured out one portion for me and then put the rest of it on the table so my husband could help himself to as much as he wanted. He had seconds! Delish! Here's the link to the recipe. I'm starting my 2nd week on the 5:2 diet and the scale hasn't moved, even an ounce. Hopefully I'll see some progress by the end of this week.
I am noticing that I am more energized on fast days and I count that as a bonus that I really like.
So my calorie limit on "fast days" is 500 cal.
Here's my lunch - 260 cal.
Garden Burger on one slice of sourdough bread with 1 teaspoon of horseradish sauce.
Dinner 260 cal.
I just repeated the lunch sandwich.
