UV Project Challenge - Wk #2 (6/6 to 6/12)

Once again I'm a little late in reporting my results of this week's Challenge but at least I did the work. Things have been changing in my life.....I'm watching my grandson, Michael, who is 4 yrs old on almost a daily basis. This week I even had him stay for a couple of overnighters......this results in "NOT" getting a good night's sleep. As a result.....I was a bit cranky on a few days.

Get your exercise on!
Take your fitness minutes from last week and increase them by 10% this week! Yay for math!

This week my workouts with Brazil Butt Lift automatically increased the length of my workouts more than 10%......Leandro had me praying to the "lords of Brazil" more than once!!

6/6: Cardio Axe (30 min), Sculpt (50 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 90 min.
6/7: Tummy Tuck (20 min), High & Tight (40 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 70 min.
6/8: Bum Bum (30 min), Sculpt (50 min) and Wobbler (16 min) = 96 min.
6/9: Tummy Tuck (20 min), High & Tight (40 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 70 min.
6/10: Cardio Axe (30 min), Sculpt (50 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 90 min.
6/11: Tummy Tuck (20 min), High & Tight (40 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 70 min.
6/12: Took the "furry girls" for a walk (90 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 100 min.

Total Fitness Minutes: 586 min.

Beachy ST- time to work on that bikini body!!
Choose a part of your beach body that you want to work on the most and work it like never before! (arms, abs, legs, butt) How many squats, crunches, pushups can you do? Choose an exercise that works for you that will make you really sore!

I incorporated this with my above workouts. Mainly working on my Butt and Thighs along with some Ab work.

Get outside and play! Run around, hula hoop, play frisbee, etc- do some thing that makes you feel young, sexy and fun!

My outside fun was taking the "furry girls" for a walk.......we haven't had the best weather.......mostly ran and very little sun :( If we ever have more sun, I'll definitely spend more time outside :)

Try a new recipe and post a picture in the team area!

Due to the time that I've been spending with Michael, it has left little time to try out new recipes......we've been eating out a lot......this has got to stop soon as I need to get myself back on track. I've been doing too much stress eating :(

    I so want to do one of these challenges too. But with all I have going on, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Sounds like you are doing awesome with it though!! I like reading what others are doing though so thanks for posting. Once I get to wherever I end up... IT'S ON!!!

UV Project Challenge - Wk #3 (6/13 to 6/19)

I'm a little behind in reporting my results for this week but I did keep track of has gotten in the way and there have been a few changes made where my time isn't my own as much as it was.....I'm watching my 4 yr. old grandson almost every day now so this week was an appropriate week for me.......Take care of YOU!!

You work, go to school, take care of kids, relationships, friends, fit in workouts, etc.. but how often do you take time out for yourself? This week- focus on "you" time, and do some thing for yourself that YOU love to do.

This week I've been reading the latest books in Sherryl Woods' "Chesapeake Shores Series"'s nice to get lost in a novel especially when the story takes place at the beach!!

Fruits and Veggies:

This week, try making a new meal using only fruits and veggies! Take a picture or post a recipe and share with the rest of us!

Due to my lack of time of doing anything this week while I was watching Michael, I didn't have the time to try a new recipe :( I tried to make an effort to eat more Freggies but.......I was only successful a few days this week.


Burn baby, BURN! Rack of those fitness minutes by pushing cardio to the max. Get that heart rate pumping. Report back next week with minutes dedicated to cardio!

This week's workout with Brazil Butt Lift definitely covered Cardio. FYI.....even though the workout was called Sculpt.....there was still plenty of Cardio in the workout.

6/13: Sculpt (50 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 60 min.
6/14: Cardio Axe (30 min), Bum Bum (30 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 70 min.
6/15: Sculpt (50 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 60 min.
6/16: Bum Bum (30 min), High & Tight (40 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 80 min.
6/17: Sculpt (50 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 60 min.
6/18: Bum Bum (30 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 40 min.
6/19: Took the "furry girls" for a Walk (90 min) and Wobbler (10 min) = 100 min.

Total Cardio: 470 min.


In addition to your regular ST routine- this week you gotta really work that core. Stream a new video, grab a fitness magazine and kill it!

6/18: Tummy Tuck = 20 min.

Total Core: 20 min.

I tracked my food everday on the Food Tracker.....even the items I didn't want to track....ate a minimum of 5 emoticon emoticon......some days I even ate more!! emoticon

Drinking water isn't a problem for me and this week I did great!!

emoticon Sun:

3 Days of emoticon for over 30 min. each day and I used sunscreen too!! I got plenty of Vitamin D playing outside with my grandson. We've had nothing but emoticon lately and so I took advantage of the emoticon while we had it.....the emoticon really makes me feel alive!!

emoticon Fitness Article:

I went to to read a Fitness Article. I ended up finding a new fitness website and discovered that the fitness coaches, Katrina and Karena, had an article in the June issue of Self...."3 Steps to Your Best Summer Body" so I read the article. It inspired me so much that I ordered their two workout I really need more.....I have enough workout DVDs to open my own store!! But.....I can't wait to get them!!!

I really enjoyed the first week of this Challenge and there are many more weeks to follow. Can't wait to find out what my next assignment will be. emoticon

By the end of summer I should look like this........ emoticon....... emoticon

May "Proving Grounds" Challenge - Week #2

This is my second and final week of the Proving Grounds Challenge for the month of May. Here are the results of my final week:

24. Break a personal record - Today I did one of my workouts twice.....usually once is enough.
25. STRETCH longer than normal - Today I did my Stress Relief Yoga workout....haven't done this since last summer. During that time I've been doing the Brazil Butt Lift Workout and have lost 25 lbs......couldn't believe how much easier the workout was and how flexible my body is now. Woo-Hoo!!
26. Mid-Week super killer cardio day! - I really rocked the "killer" cardio today doing Brazil Butt Lift's Cardio Axe and High & Tight.....woo-hoo!!
27. Practice your balance - Doing the Brazil Butt Lift: Bum Bum today really helps improve my balance.
28. Pushups - These will be tackled on 5/ I did the Spark Upper Body Resistance Band Workout.....this really worked my arms and shoulders.....woo-hoo!! (Similar to doing Push Ups)
29. Obliterate your brick wall - I have been trying to decide which diet to follow. I have finally chosen Bethenny Frankel's Naturally Thin Program to begin on June 1....along with the UV Challenge...can't wait!!
30. Enjoy the holiday - Today is my Birthday and I definitely enjoyed the day.....started my morning with working out with Leandro (for those who don't know....he's the fitness instructor for Brazil Butt Lift)....he makes working out so much fun!!
31. Make a JUNE plan - I have signed up for the UV Project Challenge.....can't wait for it to start.....this should give me more motivation to continue with getting more fit. thinner and feeling great during the summer months!! Woo-Hoo!!

I have totally enjoyed the Proving Grounds Challenge for May.....I only wish that I had found this at the beginning of the month.

Also well done for doing 1/2 the May Challenge once you discovered its existence. We're going to have fun with the June project - wonder if there's going to be weekly stuff or are we left on our own??

May "Proving Grounds" Challenge - Week #1

Last week I discovered a new Spark Team, the Proving Grounds (MEGA). It really inspired me so I joined their May Challenge.....even though it was the middle of the first day was May 17th and here are my results for my first week of this challenge:

17. Break a personal record - I'm getting out of my comfort zone and starting immediately by introducing myself on a new Spark Team.....I never introduce myself....I usually just jump in and act like I've been a member forever.
18. Workout first thing in the morning - I always workout first thing in the morning....otherwise I'd never do it!!
19. Add 15 minutes - today I added 30 min to my workout....the program that I'm following only had a 25 min workout scheduled for today and I like to workout a minimum of 60 min. per day.
20. Workout your lower body - today between doing Rio Extreme and the Spark Butt-Blasting Workout, I definitely worked out my lower body....LOL
21. Do something that makes you feel sexy or beautiful - made myself feel beautiful by getting a Champagne Pedicure
22. GO HARD OR GO HOME - worked out for 120 min by Walking 3.13 miles and doing Spark Cardio Kickboxing Workout
23. REST - usually Sunday (yesterday) is my Rest Day from Brazil Butt Lift Workout..that's when I take my "furry girls" for a walk. It's peaceful being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air....this is a different form of REST.

Now I'm working on my second week and the last week of the Challenge. Can't wait for the new Challenge to begin in June. Stay tuned for my results for next week's portion of the May Challenge. Woo-Hoo.....I'm really loving this!!
