I Ran the Distance

I ran 3.11 miles today in preparation for my 5K in one week. I just had to see if the legs had it in them, and they did. My time was 34:20, and I burned 435 calories. Whew! I have an ESL Supplemental certification test on Monday morning, so I think I'll save my next training run for Tuesday morning.

Making Progress - Second Run of the Week

I ran 2.73 miles in 31:38 and burned 374 calories for my efforts. It felt good even though I'd been up a little bit later than I expected. My race is in nine days, and I pick up my packet on Saturday. Woo-hoo!!!

First Run of the Week - October 14, 2014

I ran 2.65 miles in 31:04 this morning in 50-something degree weather. It was marvelous to return from a run without sweat coursing down my face. I think I am part-Siberian Husky after all. Ha ha ha! I've registered for my race on October 25 and plan to be in the jogging corral. The only competition is with myself to complete the course.

Run Day - October 7, 2014

I didn't run yesterday when the lightning flashed as my alarm. I held off until today and ran 2.39 miles in 27:50ish and burned 329 calories. I feel accomplished despite the lack of sleep. LORD, thank You for the stamina to keep going.

This Week's Progress - October 4, 2014

In 50 degree weather before the sun illuminated the sky, I ran 2.39 miles in 27:46 and burned 329 calories for the day. My race is in three weeks, and I had a 'flu shot on Thursday afternoon which explains my vitamin C addiction the past two days. Time for some more water, but the scale has been my friend today! Woo-hoo!!! I feel FANTASTIC!
