Alright, I have been off eating, and behaving badly, well sort of. I haven't been here at any rate, so time to get back on the pony and do whats right. I broke a rib but it's getting better so back to the gym and get the exercise thing up to speed, no more skipping out on writing my intake down and no more eating random sh@*. YYEEEEEEE HAAAAAA!

Viewing Success

Thursday, March 25, 2010

I just spent some time reading a bunch of blogs and many write about the binges of chocolate and stress related eating however, they come back to spark and revisit the plan. I love that. Success is coming back again and again and AGAIN to baseline. Hasn't baseline changed for every single person who frequents Sparkpeople? (for the better) YES! Maybe we ate junk 24/7 before, now we at the very least eat junk less often, if at all. Baseline has changed dramatically for us, every time we mess up, back to baseline. YEA!!!!

So true! I over ate last night, but looking at my nutrition tracker, even though I went over, I knew that in my days before SP, that number would have been OFF THE CHARTS!

Monday, Monday

Monday, March 22, 2010

Ya gotta love monday, it's like the beginning, at least it always with my mom. She ALWAYS started a "diet" on Monday. I am not going to start a "diet" but this Monday starts two weeks of night shift. Not eating at normal times, trying to maintain a "normal" pattern is out the window. The last two times I went to night shift I ended up sick so I am trying to do really healthy things this time, trying to eat and exercise and do all the things I know to do with a hope to come out well and on trak.

My new job is 4am-12:30pm so I totally feel that. I also understand starting a new "diet" on Monday. Sometimes I feel like I start a new "diet" everyday! It's easier to stay on track when you are doing things one day at a time.

March 11th

Thursday, March 11, 2010

emoticonhad 2 marvelous days. Yesterday I went to the gym and worked my butt off, felt really exhilarating too. Drank all my water, and logged all my foods. Today, no gym but went shopping and purchased a new bike, spring fever! I did everything else perfect. It feels good to get back in the saddle and hold the reins again.

I'm done!

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

I'm done with the destructive behaviors that I have been doing the last 4 weeks plus or minus. I am going to the gym today for the first time this month, I am going to stop random, eating with wreckless abandon. I am going to get back on all the good habits I had before. I don't know why I dropped them but I paid a hefty price and I am not happy with the results.

Glad you are back on track.
Try meal planning and schedule exercise the day before. Scheduling meals in advance and tracking them will keep you on course as far as what you eat and the number of calories that you consume. By scheduling your workouts in advance and tracking them you will be more likely to do them.

What has worked for me is becoming a member of a team and monitoring the standings for fitness minutes and SparkPoints daily. My goal is to always be in the top 10 in both categories.

Hope this helps! emoticon

Hang in there! It's tough sometimes I know. I just am getting back on my path too. Three weeks (1 week sick, 1 week at a conference, 1 week vacation).... none of it at home, so portion control and logging and excercise... all went out the window. Re-establishing habits seems a little harder than the first time. I guess I didn't have habits, if I just threw them away when I was 'away'.

Just hang in there, you're not alone and not the only one.

Woo Hoo to you for taking charge! Wishing you much success and encouragement. This is a journey, and so what if you've taken some paths off of the main road. You're back on the main road, which will take you to where you want to go.
