STRESS from every angle

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

I tell you...the BIGGEST obstacles in your way , is usually your loved ONES. You would think that they would be happy for you...trying to get healthy.

Oh No...pure stress and problem...can't do anything right to please them.

They try to sabotage and blame you in every way...Just really tired of the BS...

The last two weeks was a bit rough and I didn't get to complete my goals that I set out...This week I was determined to push myself [try and make up for the previous weeks]

I was doing good..Sunday, Monday...BUT
Yesterday, everything came to a head...I WAS SO STRESSED OUT ...that I overate and didn't do as much exercise as I had done the previous two days...

I have to tell myself...that I am doing this for ME...noone else...

Have to keep going...I fell and I get back up...

The day is done so focus on what you are going to do next. Falling is back if you cannot get up. It would make lifestyle change easier if family members were on board but if they are not tell them to keep their negativity to themselves.

We all have times like that. Just keep working towards your goals, one day, one step at time. You can do it!

There is a old saying "fall down seven times, get up eight." So you had a bad day, just don't let it turn into a bad two days or a week. Every day you get to reboot! I agree that sometimes our loved ones are the worst at supporting us. Now that you have an idea, think about how you'll deal with them next time (and there will be several next times I'm sure). You are right to focus on you. You're doing great!

Exercise is HARDDD!!!!

Monday, August 27, 2012

Serious ppl, exercise is really hard....

Sometimes I feel like my lungs are on fire.
Trying a little bit of this and that [10 minutes maximum]. I find that I enjoy walking and weight training most.

I think the idea of jumping up and down ...erks me...but still I have to try...
Sometimes I feel that I didn't do enough for the day.

Right now I'm doing my own exercises...use to go to the gym in the past and would stop after one month...the gym gets boring....and I become demotivated...

I feel more motivated exercising on my own...watching workout videos

I'm a bit contented right now.

Hang in there...I say stick to what you know you like. For me, I have to do a combination of working out in my house to DVDs and getting out doors. My getting out doors is using my local park, roller skating or attending a free exercise class at my local community center or non-profit organizations.

I know it seems that way at first. Trust me I get that feeling of my lungs being on fire. I take a break for just 5 seconds the most. Right now you should try to build up your endurance. And damn, I knowhow that gym can be, its madddd boring. I'm doing videos now as you know. I love the outdoors as well. Just try to set small goals Nat, you'll make it I just know it emoticon

I like to think of exercise as a release. I let go of the toxins, negativity, thinking, emotions, residual anger if it's there and the biggie, stress!! I gain so much.
It's hard for me when I don't exercise regularly because I start to feel overwhelmed. It's really how you think about it that matters. Hang in there... for sure. Keep moving and sparking...

I like riding a bike for serious cardio. The last time I started a program I could only initially ride for 11 minutes. Within a few months I was riding for 60 minutes pretty intensely. It just takes time and patience. Hang in there it is very importatn.

I was looking at some old photos today...My..oh my... how time has passed me by...
Time really waits on noone...
I said to myself...Why didn't I try this strategy to lose weight years ago...but
Everything happens in its own time...

Maybe things really happens in God's time and not our own...

In my teens, i was abt 110 - 120lbs
In my early twenty's ...125 - 130lbs
mid twenty's...stuck between 150 - 155lbs..
After my son's birth...stuck at 195lbs...
Lost 35 of it in one year...then miraculously gained 20 the next year...
After that it was downhill...NOW over 200lbs..

Always told myself back then will never pass 200lbs...look at me now...

I completely understand. I always had 200 as my number that I wouldn't pass, and then I blinked and just kept going. I can't wait to see the scale below 200 again, but it will be in time.
Keep up the great work, and the positive activities and tracking. You are doing great. emoticon

Taking it Easy...

Saturday, August 18, 2012

Well tomorrow will be one week since I started this program. GOOD SO FAR!! Just taking it nice and easy...not having any great expectations. These things takes time. Took time for me to gain weight, will take even more time to LOSE it.

The race is not for the swift...but who will endure in the end.

Try not to beat myself up too much.

So far I am on target with my trackings.

Hooray! You can do it! It's good to understand that it can't come off quickly (I put mine on over the course of 2-3 years, so I can't expect it to come off over night!)

Keep up the good work!
It doesn't matter how long it takes! We will get there!!!
