Stuck

I was cruising right along. Up until last week I was actually ahead in my weight loss. Now the scale is stuck. I am hoping TOM is to blame, but I guess I will not know for sure until it has passed. At least my body feels like I have made progress. My waist is down an inch and I have been able to accomplish some great cardio this week. Keeping my fingers crossed that the scale will move again soon.

    How long has the scale been stuck? I wouldn't consider it a plateau unless the scale doesn't move for 2 weeks straight!!! How long have you been at it? (I mean dieting and exercise together?)
TOM definitely can cause for some weight fluctuation... but that shouldn't last long... water weight should be gone in 3-4 days!

Thanks for the comments on my SparkPage! I worked extremely hard to get into Stage Shape... I can't wait to do it all again for October 17th, 2009!!! :)

I climbed Enchanted Rock!

I am just getting back from my first camping trip in over 25 years. In fact I don't ever remember tent camping before, which is what we did. Saturday was my guy's birthday and he was brave enough to take me camping for it. I actually feel great! I can hardly get off the couch right now but my body accomplished things this weekend that I never expected. We hiked and climbed for hours on end. Due to rain and a pretty intense fear that set in when we made it half way up the rock on our first day there, I did not make it to the top of Enchanted Rock (near Fredricksburg, TX) until our second day. Making it to the top was quite an accomplishment for me. I took 1 break and one puff on my inhaler. I was also able to stick to my healthier eating with the exception of a little back slide when we ventured out for a German lunch on Sunday.

Off the Wagon

So I fell off the wagon a little towards the end of the week. A sales rep brought in lunch and my will power swayed a little. Then I treated myself to an Easter breakfast buffet. Feeling a little sluggish this afternoor though so I am paying for it. Plan to hit things hard this week and see how it goes.

I made it!

So I have made it through my first week on Spark People! I have also made it through and entire week with out a trip through the drive thru! To be honest, it has not been as difficult as I expected. I have learned several things this week:
1. I have been getting no where near the amount of protein in my diet that is recommended. I have added a protein powder for now but will work on getting it from healthier sources.
2. 5 servings of veggies and fruit is a little tough to take in.
3. Eating right really does help you to feel better. I already feel like I have more energy. It will be interesting to see how eating better affects my frequent migraines.
4. I can cook and it has been easy to find things to cook that I can do quickly.

I am very excited about how this week has gone. Can' t wait o finish out another one.

Things to work on this week:
Fitting in exercise at least 3 days a week.
Upping my fruit and veggie intake.
Adding protein to my diet through natural foods.
Increase my fiber intake.
