Today is my first day back....

Yep I fell off the barn wagon and getting back on today... I have hit my all highest again (200).. and I am 46 yrs old now I know that does not help either because my metabolism has slowed down... I have been thinking alot about joining a gym or getting a personal trainer but that cost money something I do not have.. so I need to do this on my own without getting bored... I started my exercise today outside I did my lawn grass was high I want to suprise my husband .. it took my 60 mins to do and sweated like crazy.. but I did accomplished it.. later on will walk for 30 mins... been eating clean.. so I think that I did good for the day...

    Welcome back. As you already know there is tons of information here to help you reach your goal. It is about finding the right formula for your busy lifestyle. You can do it. I joined Spark in August 2010 and I have not reached my goal yet, but I can say that I am making healthier choices and have a much better understanding about portion sizes, got back to exercising on a regular basis (even in this Miami heat), and I drink more water to name a few. Just keep coming back. I know you can do this.

Knowledge is power!!!!!

Frustrated, stressed out...

Today I am fustrated.. stressed..as I look at my past blog its the same thing wining.. I am stuck on the 10 pound lost 10 pounds gain... I feel lazy not being able to step up to my goals which is all together lose 30 pounds but really lose something each month..I am always looking for excuses .. to not exercise that I have it in somewhat under control been walking 20 to 30 even 60 mins a day the group that I am in has giving me that challenge.. but I do not see the scale go down...I am starting as of today to plan my meals for the whole week, got some fresh veggies and fruits at the market..gonna stay away from beef and go for the lean protien...now my problem is the water can not seem to drink the required cups.. not a fan of water I drink it but do not like the taste...at night I have a sweet craving that I can not seem to shake that off.. so I quess what I trying to do is to get some positive thinking on trying again clean as of today..

    You are not alone in the water and sweet craves dept. try some sassy water cucumbers,mint,lemons gives the water a nice flavor with no added calories. As far as my sweet craving I save enough points every night (following weight watchers) to enjoy a 3-4 point treat emoticon

    Try flavoring the water.. I buy way too much but I love it!

At night, perservere and stay strong!! We all have those cravings to get past.. I try eating something like popcorn (sprinkled with cinamon/splenda mix) and the motion of eating lots of popcorn that is sweet usually helps too!

    We are to vent to!

Have you tried lemon in your water? Or unsweet tea?

I love some frozen yogurt at night....nearly every night. 1/3 of a scoop in a cone is 115 calories and satisfies my craving. Also Fage brand Greek yogurt has some really yummy fruit & yogurt combos. That brand is super thick and decadent and Greek yogurt is high in protein (it is the only one I like because of its thickness). The Blueberry Acai 0% one is delish and might satisfy your sweet tooth (I also like the Pomegranate one). Angel Food cake is also another great alternative to satisfy a sweet tooth, I even just read it in an article on Sparkpeople.

Joining a challenge, or challenging yourself is a great way to stay motivated. I am using the 40 days of Lent as my challenge and jumpstart to get back on track. Everyday, no exceptions or excuses, I will exercise at least 15 minutes and eat healthy.

The scale can be so frustrating! Focus on the great things you are doing to get healthy...sometimes, it is all about the baby steps!

    Sounds like you just being aware of your goals..that you are doing well. I think just being and ataying aware of our weight goals is the first step to losing weight. I too keep losing 10 and regaining the same back. I think your are RIGHT, PLAN your meals for the week-a very good, smart thing to do, to stay on track. I will do the same! Eating whatever I feel really doesnt work out..lol. -Planned meals are rhe way to go. I too have an evening sweet tooth..I think maybe it might be a good idea to have one low calorie dessert, planned of course. I personally like those lower calorie puddings in a cup. Anyway, keep thinking positive. You are doing great! emoticon

My 3rd 4th and 5th day in Boot Camp

I am happy now that I have my computer up and working for some reason I can not log in to Spark to record what I surely did..even though I con not log in I did not let it get to me and continued my routine...on my third day I just made my own 10 mins of some typr of deep strength work out.. I did the wall push ups wide and normal.. and of course my 30 mins of cardio then on the 4th day I did some crunches and planks for 10 mins followed by my cardio.. on my 5th day which was today i did the workout that was asigned followed by some wii fit plus cardio...mind you that on last three days I had my pedometer and each day read 11000 to 13000 steps...you know I feel a little sore but energy is starting to boom on out of me.. a sense of accomoplishment too!!! I CAN DO IT!!!!! Whoo Hooo!!!!! see ya tomorrow

2nd Day

Wow this is my second day with the boot camp and it was a little hard those crunch on the knee like a genie was something else very tense on the legs and stomach, but got thru it slowly . I did not know how out of shape I am , this will get me in shape. You know I like this it is really motivating me to be active . I also did 30 min of the treadmil at the speed of 2.6 I know that it's slow but I will pick it up later on.

    Congrats to you for joining the challenge. Lol!!! Yes you do find out how out of shape you are once you start back to exercising. I am going to wait until July and August to do a bootcamp challenge since it will be too hot to do anything outside here in Miami. Keep us posted as to how you are doing with the challenge.

May 1 my first day..

Well finally May 1st came around the reason I say it is because I started for the first time in my life a boot camp challenge.. I started it for I am a person who gets bored easy and drops her routine of exercise.. so I think that this is my way to jazz it up..I think I can make it this time I get emails on what to do then when I do do it I get cheered on now that is great motivation for me .. so far I did the 10 min video and i could not beleive I actually sweated out.. now I am going to take a 30 min cardio I plan to do it on my treadmil.. I am feeling energetic looking forward to it and to also work on the new me...

    Congrats to you for joining the challenge. I am going to join up for challenges in July and August to keep myself moving when I can't get outside to run because of the heat here in Miami. I would like to think that I would be able to get up at 6 everyday, but it is hard to do with my two little ones (2 and 5 years old) doing the "exorcist" looking for me.
