One of the girls at the office is like this. We work 8 to 5. She likes to work 10 to 6. Guess each of our bodies have their own clock! Glad to hear that you do not have a health issue with your sleep. You will reach your goals, just hang in there! Report Inappropriate Comment |

I have never been a morning person. I was late to my first class in high school every day I think. After I graduated I worked a 2 to 11 shift and it was wonderful. Like you I was late to a 9 am job and if I hadn't been such a good employ I would have been fired a long time before I quit, which was to pursue a job closer in line with my degree after 7 1/2 years at the other place. Right now I am not working because all of the good jobs start at like 7 am. I would rather die than have to get up in the dark to get ready for a 7 am job. I am hoping for a happy medium and it sounds like you are trying for the same. Good luck in finding that happy medium. Report Inappropriate Comment |

I sleep until I wake up which is normally 4-5 hours. Whether it's staying up late, bedtime for me is 11:00 pm. and getting up to attend an aerobics class, 5:00 a.m. , shower and off to work. What works for some, may not work for others. You'll find what works for you. It will work out one day! Report Inappropriate Comment |

geeze, I am tired!!
It is 3.30 pm over here and I almost fall asleep. Not really a good idea with a telefon conference coming up in 30 minutes, I have to prepare myself for ;)
I went to bed at 11.30 pm last night, but again not falling asleep til abt. 1 am. Reading is not an option. I cannot turn down the book and end up with staying up til 4 am. I put some meditation routine on my iPad to listen to. Maybe that helps..

I found a great relaxing before sleep guided meditation at my local library. When I can't sleep, that is the magic!

Good luck! I have the opposite problem, I sleep too much. It is a way of avoiding life. Report Inappropriate Comment |

I am working on the same thing, trying to change my sleep habits. Mine is not going so well either. I am not working right now so it is even easier for me to stay up and then sleep in. I might have to resort to melatonin to try to get to sleep earlier since nothing else seems to be working. I will keep an eye on your blog and see if you find anything that works. Exercising during the day helps me to be nice and sleepy when bed time rolls around. Good luck finding something that works for you!

Stick with it and maybe you find the answer. For me it was a mouth guard, a $5 double sided from academy that they sell for kick boxing. It stopped my snoring and I sleep better than I have in years. I joke that I'm like a baby with a paci because I have a hard time sleeping with out it.

I suffer from the same issues. Right now I'm just putting out the lights at a specified time, and then lying down and staying there until morning. Seven hours in bed whether I sleep or not. I'm hoping that if I keep it up for 21 days, my mind and body will realize why I'm lying down and will just go to sleep!

Hope you find a solution soon! Have you talked with your doctor about your sleep issues? I recently went through a series of sleep studies and discovered I have Sleep Apnea. Good for you in hanging in there and trying different ways to get a good night sleep!

How frustrating! Good for you, though, to continue to look for ways to reach your goal. The mediation routine on your iPad may just do the trick. Good luck!
