Sunday, the end of another month.

"A trying time is not the time to stop trying."

We have come to the end of another month and I'm still saying I will get on track. My biggest problem is still my exercise routine. I am not really putting 100% effort into it. So far I have 2 challenges coming up in the next month that are geared towards working out.

That is what I will be concentrating the hardest on for November. I do eat very healthy, at times too much good food, and once in awhile I will get into stuff I shouldn't have. I honestly believe this is the reason why my scale is usually "stay the same".

So I know if I can put in a more intense workout it will show a big difference on the scale.

As Nike says " Just Do it"

emoticon One step at a time Barbara. The fitness is my biggest struggle as well ---seem to do fine with all other aspects -- I need to make a concious effort daily to workout ---much easier said than done sometimes. But that is my goal for November to focus more on fitness consistency. Together we can achieve our goals!

My biggest excuse is that I can't stay awake. My Dr. keeps saying, that if I don't cat nap
during the day, I will sleep at night. So far, that is not working. I am on day 5 with no sleep and desperately need a nap.

You can do this Barb- we all need to do exersise on a regular basis. The food is only a part of the equation. We have 2 months.. lets leave 2010 on a good note.

I love the aspect of SparkPeople that focuses on 'one little change at a time' - it reminds me this is not a 'race' and if I'm going to change my lifestyle permanently to a more healthy way of living, getting one 'habit' at a time on the right path is a big achievement.

It sounds like you've done very well with the type of choices you're making for food - better to have 'too much of a good thing' than too much of a 'bad thing' so you're doing great.

The exercise aspect is important but another thing I like about this program is the emphasis that the scale is not the only way to measure our progress. Just developing one good habit at a time is perfect and NOBODY can give 100% all the time - just the fact you're aware and focusing on working out during November is an inspirational decision!

I've been concentrating on working out, too - I started on a 'fitness binge' and my commitment to myself is to 'binge' for 100 days - not to over-excess but I do have my 'minimum' and 'preferred' targets. I picked 100 days for several reasons - one, it will get me past the holidays, which is significant in itself! Two, I have a reduced working schedule until mid-January, just about 100 days after my 'binge' started. I'm looking for a couple of November workout challenges to keep my momentum going so don't be surprised if I show up at one of them with you.

Keep up the good work and let's 'just do it' together!!

I too believe we need to get serious about our work outs.
I found as I got older my body really needs the extra push to make the body burn those cal.

I can eat as good and healthy as I want but with out a daily routine of real exercise I do not make those scales move.

I read a blog where a girl has removed 60 lbs in 6 months she still eats everything in moderation but she added exercise to her day-- everyday---

Hugs to you Barbara, we will do this!!!

    Morning Barbara!

One very important thing I have to learn and remember is that I need to love me and do for me first.

Nearing 60 now makes me think I will never learn this.
