Time to get serious after being on a 2 week vacation.
April 16th arrived in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, with my best friend Kathy, my sister-in-law Robin and my 2 Spark Pals, Mary and Jo, and their cousin Donnie.
I must say that we all had a wonderful time, considering everyone didn't know everyone, but it didn't take long for us to become acquainted. I had been to the resort before, and it was still a great spot to vacation. For me, my vacation consists of someone else getting my meals, cleaning my room, just getting away from the stress of work, home, family and just every day living. I walk around the resort, I swim and relax by the pool, drink lots of water, and yes I ate plenty, did eat a huge variety of fruits and veggies, but the sweets were still a temptation I couldn't resist.
Arrived in Toronto early morning of April 24th, where my friend and sil flew back to Nova Scotia and I stayed with my sister for a few days. First day was a 75th birthday party for my aunt. The next day was a trip to see the show "Jersey Boys" it was awesome, and I recommend it to anyone who has it playing in their city. It's the story about Franki Valli and the Four Seasons, had alot of humour in the storyline and great music from 60's and 70'.
Arrived home in Nova Scotia April 29th, wasn't here 15 minutes and started to get a sore throat, so have been fighting a cold ever since. Went yest. for my weigh-in and was up 3.5 lbs, which I will contribute mostly to my time in Toronto, where I did eat alot of takeout
Today is Sunday May 2nd and am starting back on my program.
My goals for May are:
1. to have a loss at the end of the month.
2. to drink 8 - 10 glasses water daily
3. 30 minute walk daily
4. to follow my program
5. to work on strength exercises
