4 to go

Saturday, December 30, 2006

Four days to go until the 1 year anniversary of my healthy life. I'm so happy to be reaching that milestone! Here is today's quote:
Should you find yourself at a loss, wondering what life is all about and what your purpose is, be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity to wonder.
I think it's a very valuable quote and one we should keep in our minds always. It's amazing to think of all the incredible things that I've experienced in 51 years. I am so blessed to have lived the life I have and I will try to remember that every minute of every day!

4 days to go

Friday, December 29, 2006

and I have a new mantra:
You can do it.
Just one more mile.
I feel great.
I look great.
I have a strong, healthy body.
I can do this.
Fit feels good.
One day at a time.
I'm prepared for today's workout.
Thanks to those who posted this on the BL message board, I think it's very helpful and I'll use it daily!
Only 4 days to go to reach my 1 year anniversary. I'm excited, I'm so proud that I've actually stuck with this for that amount of time. I know it's a "forever" thing for me, but the fact that I've made it 1 year is a sign of the strength I have, and that I will be able to sustain this for the rest of my life. I'M NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!

Five days to go!

Thursday, December 28, 2006

I've only got 5 more days to my 1 year anniversary of a new healthy lifestyle. I can't belive I've stuck to it this long. I have never done that before. I am more determined than ever to reach my goal of 145 pounds. I'd like to do that by March, but I think that's a bit unrealistic. Still, I'm using that as my mini-goal, and have until June to reach 145 if I don't get there sooner.

Milestone

Wednesday, December 27, 2006

I'm coming up on a major milestone; one year of healthy living, January 2, 2007. I'm so proud of myself because I have never done so well over this amount of time. I made it over the holiday hurdle and continued to lose(only .4lbs)and keep my streak of losing every weigh-in alive. I haven't skipped any weigh-ins(every Monday am)and haven't missed any days at the gym(except Xmas)and I'm still committed 100% to reaching my goal weight of 145lbs. It's funny, but I started this program with the goal of losing weight for my daughter's wedding, but after 8 months into the program, her engagement was broken and the wedding called off, but I never waivered. The reason is, I had realized this was about much more than appearances, this was about LIVING! I hadn't been living and now I knew how much I was missing. So, here's to another year(and the rest of my life)of eating healthy and exercising, and loving life!!!

my trouble goal

Monday, December 18, 2006

My trouble goal is anything below 175. I haven't seen a number that low since before I became pregnant with my fist child, 27 years ago. I'm getting close to that weight right now, as I weighed in at 179 this morning. I feel very confident still, but in the back of my mind is that nagging thought of what if I can't get past 175? My goal weight is 145 pounds which is 10 more than what I weighed when I got married 30 years ago. I had to go to WW to get to that 135 pounds, so I'm not using that as I think it's unrealistic. I'm staying the course for now, and I'm not dwelling on the what-ifs. I'll just take it as it comes and do whatever I need to do in order to reach my goal.
