I truely relate to this quote. I have spent my whole life playing things safe, for fear of what "might be", and though I've had a wonderful life, there are too many "what-ifs" that I think about. So although it may be a bit late, I've finally decided to go for it. To try anything and not thing about what may be, I'm going to enjoy being healthy and do all the things I want from here on out!
I was quite happy with my exercise this week, and in particular, the spinning experience on Thursday. I think that was just what I needed to get to the next level that I'm striving for. I will give my body a little time to recover(especially my butt)and I'll try it again on Thursday, next week. I'll need to find an alternative for Tuesday's cardio, as a snow storm is predicted for NJ, but I'm up for anything now.

Well, I finally got up the nerve(and wanted to avoid these below 0 temps)to try my first spinning class! I'm pretty proud of myself for completing the entire hour! I found it quite challenging and had to sit on some of the climbs, but I'm going back next Tuesday and do it again so that I can up my endurance and fitness! I do think I have a ridiculous sweating problem, as only a few others were as wet as me when the class was over. I think this is a great thing to keep up at least once a week.

Well, I usually don't care for Wednesday's but today is an exception. Besides the fact that I woke to my car covered in snow at 6:30 am, the rest of my day has been delightful. I had a very good(though very cold)workout at the gym. I did 40 minutes on the tredmill and 20 minutes on the recumbent bike. Which was the reason for my freezing...because I had worked up such a sweat, when I started my lifting, even with a workout jacket on, I was like an icecube! However, I've split my workout up a little and am finding it both more manageable and enjoyable. Monday I did legs(which my glutes keep reminding me even today)and today I concentrated on upper body, bis and tris. I got in a very good workout, tried some new exercises and feel very good about the whole thing. I also went tanning, which perks my mood up tremendously no matter how cold(1 degree)it is outside, and treated myself to a haircut. Tonight we are off to Captain Kat's for Dungeness Crab and I am looking forward to that as well!

Well, it's still in the single digits here in Jersey, and I was going to take my cardio inside to the gym(that's the first time since last January 2nd that I wimped out)but decided that the tredmill is just too boring for me(I do that for 45-60 minutes on M-W-F anyway). So, I tuned into the exercise channel on my cable OnDemand and picked 2 cardio workouts that lasted for an hour. I really got a good sweat going and it was nice to try something different for a change. However, I am the most unco-ordinated human on the face of the earth...but anyway, it's not like anyone saw me. Food today is back in my complete zone, which is a good thing too...

I must say that I'm not a happy camper this morning! I stayed the same-zero loss for the week. That's the first time since I began this journey back on Jan 2, 2006! I know it's better than a gain, and I had a bad weekend with the amount of food I ate, so I should be happy, and I guess I'm a bit relieved, but I will remedy this situation this week,by getting my food back under control! So here's to a better week, which starts over today. As the "you on a diet" book says, we will make mistakes but it is important to immediately do a YOUturn and get back on track. So that's what I will do today...
