I must say that I'm not a happy camper this morning! I stayed the same-zero loss for the week. That's the first time since I began this journey back on Jan 2, 2006! I know it's better than a gain, and I had a bad weekend with the amount of food I ate, so I should be happy, and I guess I'm a bit relieved, but I will remedy this situation this week,by getting my food back under control! So here's to a better week, which starts over today. As the "you on a diet" book says, we will make mistakes but it is important to immediately do a YOUturn and get back on track. So that's what I will do today...

of posting here. It's been an up and down week for me. It started really great, but the past few days have been disappointing. After dinner on both nights, I've just wanted to eat and eat. Granted I wasn't eating anything off my diet, but I was eating too much. I had a big serving of dry cereal as the last thing I ate each night, and last night I had way too much sunflower seeds after my dinner was over and we were sitting at the table talking! WOW this was wrong on so many levels(and then I kept burping and re-tasting them to remind me of my overeating). While this certainly isn't going to doom me, or my efforts to reach my goal, it is disappointing to think of how easily bad habits return. I believe there is a reason for this occurance, in that I'm mid-cycle so it's about 2 weeks before my period, but knowing that doesn't keep me from eating anyway! So, here's to Sunday being a new day, and knowing that I will probably experience my first weight gain in 13 months at tomorrow's weigh-in...oh, the highlight of this debacle is that at least my cardio was not ignored. I did 45 minutes on the tredmill on Friday, and had a good gym workout besides, and Saturday it was frigid here(single digits because of the wind chill)but I put my stuff on in layers, and went out for 50 minutes and walked(not run)which I was glad I had done.

Well, I just got back from the gym and I'm happy to say that I had a great work-out. I did 45 minutes on the tredmill and than started my lifting with the legs(which I skipped on Wed)just as I said I would. I worked them pretty well, being conscious of the left hamstring, which wants to be a bother. I also gave my bis and tris a good workout today, but didn't overdo it. So, I feel good about the fact that I rebounded from two lackluster workouts and had a good, energetic one today...and that's after a 1:26 minute 10K from yesterday(ran 5k walked 5k)

Well it's 10:39 and I'm still in my pjs. I'm getting ready to go and get in my workout stuff and go for my cardio. I had been thinking I would try a spinning class today, but I haven't had a very energetic week so I'm going to try that next Thursday. It is going to be exceptionally cold out there today, but I'll be ok because I'll dress appropritately. I know I really pushed hard last week and think I'm feeling a little of the residual this week. So, I'm off....

Well, for the second day in a row I've not had a great workout. I skimped today and didn't work my legs or bis and tris. I will remedy that on Friday by starting with the legs and I'll work the arms very hard too. I was still feeling fatigued and my triceps were still a bit sore(really)and my hamstrings(the left especially)are tender. I'm not sure if that's from running yesterday, or from working them on Monday, but either way, I thought it would help to let the legs recover a bit more before working them again. So, to ensure that I follow this plan, I will work up a new program on Thursday night for Friday morning. That always helps me out when my enthusiasm wanes. However, my food has still been really, really good. I'm sticking to the low end of calories and I'm not hungry. If I could improve anything there it would be to make sure I get some milk/dairy and a few more pieces of fruit. Though I did the triple berries in the oatmeal this morning-good for me and tastes great too! So, here's to having a better day of exercise tomorrow. I'll shoot for 1 hour as I haven't had a cardio session that long so far this week. Keep that train rolling, I know I can do it!
