Cookies and Sweets

Are my downfall. They are so addictive to me, even my best intentions don't stop me from picking up one more.

It's going to be a long couple of weeks. I haven't deprived myself of anything all year - if I wanted something I ate a small amount. Sweets - There is no small amount for me!


Thank goodness Christmas only comes once a year!

    mmm...cookies! emoticon Everything in moderation, hey? My husband is an over the road truck driver and I have a BAD habit of making chocolate chip cookies for my son and making a HUGE batch of like 4-5 dozen...and then they're gone before the husband gets home! I now try to make even a quarter batch just so that my son is the only one to eat them...and then make another quarter batch for the husband to take with him on the road! Cookies are my weakness!

A good feeling

I was thinking today that my weight loss has slowed down drastically but my habits are still the same. This is a good thing! I think before I probably would get discouraged and say, to hell with it, nothing is working so I should just give up. Now, I have so much more knowledge of how things work, I won't give up... I'll just keep making good choices. It's a good feeling to realize that I have made a lifestyle change - and hopefully it will last a life time.

Are looking down on me and pushing me back to the gym!

My exercise has been lacking in the past few weeks. I'd do some at home but not consistently or enough. The beginning of this week started out the same but yesterday I got up (at 5) and headed to the gym. For the first 8-9 months of the year I would have my official weight be on the gym's scale. I felt it was more reliable than my $25 one from Wal-mart. Funny how that mindset changed over the past few weeks when I wasn't exercising - Wally's scale was just fine!

So I go to the gym and low and behold - I was 2 pounds less than I was at home! Now I know it's only a number, etc... but I'm taking it as a sign that I need to be more consistent in exercising!!! I'm eager to weigh-in again next week on the 'official' scale.

I wonder if I'm destined to be physically active. It's the hardest thing for me...I was good for 9 months and this past month has been awful. This morning I head to the gym at 5 (which is in my office building) get out of the car and realize I don't have my gym bag - so that's 20 minutes time for a workout this morning. Ughhh, it's like the gods were telling me something.

I need to get out of the exercise funk!

No wonder I haven't lost a pound in a month!
