boy am I clever.. I mixed up that title so it would be different, eh? i bee so smurt.
I have no idea where that came from. Oh yes I do... I am all twisted up in cramps from lovely Aunt Flo and bloated to no end....
But I still went outside this morning for a run! . I put on my sports bra, pulled on my Under Armour tank tee w/ built in bra.
TIP #1 when the girls are sensitive, running w/ TWO sports bras is definitely the way to go!
Grabbed iPhone and hit the handy dandy weather icon and screeched! FORTY-FOUR DEGREES!!! OMG
TIP #2 find out the temp BEFORE you wrestle into compression work out clothes!
QUESTION #1 how did I live w/o the iPhone before?
Switched my compression tank tee for a fitted cold gear (yes my sparkly friends... I had to break out the cold gear this morning) w/ long sleeves. Sigh.
I moaned that I am all bloated and hate my period and my BF gave me a great big hug but turned down my offer of a barely used uterus. another big sigh.
I trudged down the drive way and started W1D1 of G28K training program. I was actually looking forward to it. Four set of running 7 minutes w/ 1 minute recovery in between. I was REALLY thankful for the recovery. Not because I needed to catch my breath, but because I could put my fingers under my armpits! It was COLD! I need to dig out my gloves!
Well the cold weather also meant I did the warm up walk much faster, and I ran much faster, which ultimately means you go much further. So my first day got me 3.6 miles. there was a nice sunrise, but nothing as pretty as the prior pic's posted, so I didn't stop to snap any today. So sorry. Maybe Friday.
I mentioned my shoes died last week. Someone told me to contact the company and I did. I didn't realize it but they guarantee the shoes 2 yrs from mfg date and I am just squeaking by! But I can return them and they'll send a new pair. yes!! Love companies that stand behind their products!! Love my Asics too!
QUESTION #2 I wonder if losing 23# after getting fitted in the shoes makes a difference? They only have 110 miles on them and should last much longer than that.
going to a running store after work to get another pair as well. Good idea to have a few pairs to switch off between. Oh wow.. does this mean I'm really becoming a runner?
Speaking of shoes, Biffrones got reset last night. He was able to stand on one front much longer this time than 5 weeks ago. Hmmm his shoes cost more than mine do... I believe this is justified to go buy myself a new pair!
Dinner in the crock pot.. love dinner in the crock pot! Especially when it's that TOM and after work... I won't want to do nuttin' but have to take away these cramps! oy is it dinner yet?
Seasonique Summary ... well I have taken it for 3 months now. I had no break thru bleeding, which is really good, I was worried about that. I had some sensitivity with girls for a few weeks last month but considering it's usually 6 weeks prior to Seasonique, I'm ok with that. The first month when I normally would have had TOM, I had some hormonal ups and downs, but that was just 1 day. And there was the other day I just started crying and couldn't stop from hormonal overload, and now the period from hell.... considering I could have had this THREE times vs once.. I'm okay with it.
QUESTION #3 Can you just pre-order menopause and only select the option to no longer have periods? I want that order please!

Monday, I completed the C25K program!!!
This is HUGE to me. I tried this program 3 times and finally accomplished goal and finished!!
yah me! Hmmm what running program do I do now...
Went Square Dancing on Friday night and did a demo at the fair on Sunday afternoon. Lots of fun!! Then Sunday, we knocked down a dead oak tree and pretty much have most of it taken care of. Only 9 more to go! AUGH. We have 100's of them and while we don't like to see them die, we do have a wood burner for our heat source. Here is a picture of my pile. Think I got some strength training in Sunday? Logs are twice as long as you would put in a regular fire place too.
Saturday night was dinner with friends w/ 4 of us girls all cooking and prepping something. Lots of fun. Stayed in calorie range too! Sunday night I made chicken stuffed with spinach, feta and pine nuts. YUM.
Monday night was beef & butternut squash in the crock..yum.
Rode the horse a few times ... very strong, very opinionated. LOL AND... I got the test results back from the vet this morning. He did show issues on the test, but not high issues, so very low grade Cushings. Glad it's low, but also glad that there was a reaction to the test so we can start him on meds and hopefully this will keep the lamanitis at bay!
Now to get caught up on all the message boards! Have a great day!!!

Hello all in Sparkly Land!!!
I did Week 9, Day 1 of the C25K today. 30 minutes straight running who would have EVER thought I could run 30 minutes straight! Not me! I have tried numerous times over the past 15 yrs to run because I wanted to and always gave up after 3 minutes! But w/ the C25K program, it brings you along so nicely!
And on a bad note... I have definitely decided my shoes have died. I might hurt when I first start out, but after 2 minutes all the pain goes away. Today, at 6 minutes in, my feet still hurt. It has to be the shoes. Kinda ticks me off though as I just calculated that I only have about 115 miles on them if even. I have only used them for the C25K program and have a rough idea of the # of miles each week was. Oh well. Better to suck it up and get a different pair!
After the run, I laid down with full intentions of doing 100 crunches, and yes fellow Sparklers... I laid there and said WHY? Then I finally talked myself into 25, as I was already on the floor anyway, right? Then I pushed thru to 50. pfew I attribute this to it being so flippin humid and coming back from the run dripping in sweat.
Also trying to learn more about carbs and proteins and what I really need to do for the running and the ab strengthening. Kinda hard to balance the two out!
Hope everyone is having a GREAT day!
