emoticonall my sparkly friends!!!

Sunday, I rode Biffrones again. Even cantered 1/2 way around the ring. He felt fine and strong! We finally had a break in the weather, low 80's. It was great.

Took him outside to walk around the property line and we did not get very far. Does anyone else's horse warn you before they blow up? Biff does. He gets all puffy, like he's filling up with air. Then gets very round, next thing you know you are sitting on top of a emoticon. Then his front comes off the ground ever so slightly, then rounds out forward and gives a little buck. If you do not shut it down NOW, there will be a bigger buck or a launch forward.

I had NO idea what was going on to cause this, thinking it was just feeling really good. I quickly shut him down as the last thing I wanted him to do was to start running and when he stopped we got attacked by flies! OMG it was insane, from my knee down and all across Biff we were covered in black flies! An the emoticonfeeling was coming back! So we quickly exited and ended that ride! We even had fly spray on too, just not enough right now w/ all the rain and high heat we have been having.

so happy w/ Biff's progress though.. pfew

Got a run in this morning and I was looking forward to it!!! It was Week 6 day 3 of C25K, 25 minutes straight running, no breaks. I was worried about W5D3 which was 20 minutes and I did it w/ no problem. So if I can run 20, I can certainly run 25... and I did!!! WOO HOO

I'll even be able to get a power walk in today too... Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

    I've had a great day, too! one-mile run/walk with the dog, then did Leslie Sansone's 3-mile workout! It was really good! AND the scale finally went DOWN!!!

Now it's time to make dinner. It has been just me and my daughter since Saturday afternoon. The boys are at Boy Scout camp. My husband emailed me a picture this morning, saying Teddy is having so much fun that when he remembered they have to come home tomorrow, he said, "DARN!"

It was much better than last Saturday. I rode for 20 minutes. Walked for 5, then trotted some... walked some more, trotted some... then finished it out walking. I resisted the urge to canter, did not want to push it.

I rode on a very loose rein and he was much more forward today than last weekend and I had to rein him in a few times. I was glad that he was so forward, but didn't want him to over do it either. There was no limping.. woo hoo

Also cranked out 216 this morning. Oops.. forgot a set of 24... my bad.

Hello all my Sparkly friends and fiends!!

I did get a better night sleep thankfully. Up a little around 2, but was able to fall back asleep.

It was 65 degrees, there was some humidity but it was not bad. Got in Week 6 Day 2 (two 10 minute runs). I was so impressed w/ this sight, that I stopped for 2 seconds to grab this pic for you all. This is what I ran towards for the first 1/2 of my run



My BF really does not like the route I take, but it is the best route available right now unless I drive someplace, which is highly doubtful! Personally, I am SHOCKED that I am actually getting up 1/2 hour earlier to run. I have SO NEVER been the morning person! This is the blind curve and why he hates this road. Speed limit is 55, so that translates to 65-70. Thankfully, there is a small shoulder!


For my zucchini bread, I think I got 4 slices off it. I am going to try to re bake it ... couldn't hurt right?

    OMG ZUCCHINI BREAD!!!! MUST HAVE THIS RECIPE PLEASE!! one of my good friends is also Gluten Intolerant, so if you have any recipes you really enjoy, please pass those along! i have a hard time finding things to make that she can eat. =D

also: did you see the meteor shower last night? sounds like you were up early enough for it!

So last night, got to bed an hour early and woke up around 2 a.m. and just couldn't fall back asleep. It's been a while since I've had insomnia this bad. augh. I am sure I drift in an out of sleep but every time I drifted out, I was wide awake. emoticon

I'd check the clock. 2:45, 3:02, 3:45 then my BF's alarm goes of some time around 4. Then I finally fall asleep emoticon somewhat. My alarm goes off early for a run. I debate about it and figured that I am better off with sleep, so reset the alarm and needless to say, did NOT get in my run today.

I now wish I had. It is 85 feels like 95 heat index and very humid. Doesn't look much like I'll get a power walk in today either, otherwise I will be slimey! Hopefully my BF will be home before me so I can go to Curves instead of waiting for the cable company!

I have friends telling me I am becoming obsessed w/ exercise. emoticonhmm I think they are jealous that I ripped out 217 crunches yesterday.

Anyone have experience w/ bread machines? I attempted to make a zucchini bread last night. I think it was too heavy in the wet ingredients. It did not bakc all the way thru so resembles one of those bundt cakes w/ the tunnel of fudge in it. emoticon I was running late this morning, so I didn't slice it, but what I did eat off of it was really yummy.

    We need our sleep, sorry. I've been told that when I tell people I can't go to lunch because I am headed for the gym or when I mention my knee, "well, if you weren't workin' out so much you wouldn't have that problem".. Humm... helpful, not! You go girl! Do what makes you smile! Crunch on!

Now, I have no good luck with bread machines, I own one and have it mix the dough then I do the rising and baking or its horrible! I LOVE zuchini bread! I am jealous on one hand and glad I didn't eat it all as I would have tried.... emoticon

    I think being obsessed with exercise is awesome!!! However, since you do work so hard at it all of the time try not to feel so bad if something becomes more important....like sleep!!! I hope you get some rest tonight and get that run in tomorrow!!!!

    I'm right there with you on the insomnia. Must have been something going around in the wee hours of the morning. I woke up at 4:15 this morning and could not get back to sleep. I stayed in bed for about an hour, got up and "sparked" for about an hour... then finally got up, got dressed and went for a power walk early this morning. I figured if I was up... I might as well be productive. But now I'm dragging...

And I have to go watch my kids play in their last soccer match of the summer as soon as Mr. Wonderful gets home from work. I'm seriously thinking about going to lie down for about an hour...

    UGH...I feel for you on the insomnia thing...thats been my past few months...last night I was in the same situation..went to bed at 1030pm, then 1230, then 315, then 430, then 630am..time for work..hang in there kiddo! *HUGS*

  You should sleep good tonight. I find when I have a night like you did last night, the next night I sleep very good. One thing that really relaxes me is to have a bowl of Multi-Grain Cheerios and milk right before bed. Just make it a part of your daily calorie allotment.

    Insomnia sucks. I had the opposite problem; I went to bed before 10:30 (early for me); mind you I have six alarms set for 5:10 a.m, but didn't wake up until 6:48 so I didn't get my morning pilates in, and I'm not sure how much cardio/strength I can get in tonight with the temps the way they are, since I didn't put any air conditioners in this year.

    I hate that when you wake up every hour and then you are never sure if you slept or you didn't. Then when you do actually fall asleep, there are weird dreams.

I changed the title of my page yesterday and did some updates, what do you think?

OMG working out at Curves last night after a C25K run in the morning... my legs were not happy campers! So my abs got it as I skipped some of the leg machines and did the ab ones instead.

mine says i should be at 126 if i have a medium frame, and 132 for a larger frame. i am def one of those 2 lol... my goal is 140 so we'll see how it goes! thanks for the fun tool!

It is dead on!!! At my "happiest", I weighed 123 and it says my happy weight is 123.6. That's amazing! (Obviously, I am VERY easily entertained...)
