First, most important... my horse. Vet will be out tomorrow morning to assess, probably take xrays to see if there was any rotation of the coffin bone since last Feb.
I am going to have her test him for Cushings (can you say ouch to the pocket book?) Now I do not WANT my horse to have Cushings, but if he does, this would be great news as it is easy to control w/ a drug and one of the side effects of Cushings is lamanitis! My friends Morgan, 1-2 yrs older than my guy, has it and never showed any signs other than hoof issues. So this is worth a shot.
Second, I saw a new chiro last Monday w/ my bursitis complaint. I had acupuncture done for the first time.. was that WEIRD. When he put it in my arm I could actually feel the pain radiate OUT of my arm. Then he stuck one on top of my collar bone and that was not a good one. I could actually feel tightness creeping up my neck to my ear and down the jaw. odd.
BUT.. My arm has been bugging me w/ a nagging dull throbbing pain since June 2nd and that throbbing pain has been gone since Monday night! No-one wants constant throbbing pain, it is such an annoyance and can put you in a foul mood and who wants that???
I am going to see the Chiro again tonight and a few times next week. I can also lift the arm a little higher too. so after 2 weeks of this, I am hoping this can go away w/o a cortisone shot, wouldn't that be nice?
Okay sparklers, I'm off for my power walk!
