I'm sorry I can't hide this any longer. I have OCD. My biggest issue is having dirty floors. I vacuum at least once a day. (Sometimes the mud room gets vacuumed 2-3 times a day) I know what your thinking, its a mud room, but it shouldn't be full of dirt!!
To make matters worse we have a dog with black fur, who sheds constantly year round. I am not able to just vacuum the areas you see, I have to move the furniture around and vacuum behind things as well.
I usually end up with a clean floor that lasts about 10 minutes, because without fail someone will come inside, or the dog will come in through her pet door, and sand is tracked in once again.
The sand, and the hair are invisible to everyone else but me. I have tried
to ignore the sand, and the clumps of dog hair that collect in every corner, but I cannot. It has been easier to track my nutrition, make healthier food choices, increase my daily exercising, and strength training, then it is to try and ignore the dust bunnies.
I have an old Kennmore vacuum, the canister type, that use to have a power head. Well the power head died many many years ago, but the canister still works, and I have the floor attachments as well. I move from room to room downstirs, 5 rooms total, and I am on my hands and knees, or bent over at the waist. I am usually frantically vacuuming, trying to the rid the dirt as quickly as I can. (WHY it will just be back again tomorrow.)
I guess the only plus is 30 minutes of Heavy Cleaning.
Yes its a sad life I lead!
