Good Thursday Sparkfam! I have trying to control my sugar & fat intake & not doing too well. I gave up my favorite snacks for Lent. Now I am finding that cookies, cake & donuts are taking their places. To me though, Red Vines & Dots don't have as much fat in them as cookies cake & donuts so why am I choosing them? I guess I have to have something to lean on while I am giving them. I guess I am going to have to put them all on the back burning. Having one or the other seems to lead to a feeding frenzy for me. All these sweet buttery fattening snacks have to go!

Good Day Sparkfam! It warmed up very well today but yesterday was freezing! Well, I didn't get to church today. I did listen on the radio & listen to many uplifting songs on the radio. It is nothing like real service but I enjoy anytime I can spend in praise & worship.
I have been afraid to try to make guacamole but today I got up enough courage to do it. I mean, I tasted one from the catering company & it was so good that I want it all the time. Unfortunately, I think it is too expensive to that. I don't like the dip you buy from the stores cause it just doesn't taste right. So I felt like having some dip today & went ahead & made it. It was actually decent but got better once I followed a few tips from others on the site. I felt really good about it. I wanted to post a picture but my computer is not allowing me too.
I was watching grammy awards & glad to see some of the winners like Adele & Chris Brown. I think it was the best one since Michael Jackson did a performance on the show. I think it showed loads of promise until Nicki Minaj performed. What was that?! I didn't know much of the music as I don't listen to much secular music anymore. I love this one song I think its a country song but can't remember the title? Ditzy me...
Well, I will have to pay forward my weight work as I have been busy making breakfast, washing & making dinner. Hubs is still out of commission. Hopefully he will find something from today to eat while he is at home this week. I made baked chicken thighs, baked potatoes, shrimp fried rice & chili. I know its a weird mix but he got weird taste.
Good Hump Day Sparkfam! I had a somewhat interesting day, I had a few dips in my day but I tried to keep my emotions on an evil kilt. It was tough but I am trying to live victoriously. Some times it works fine but then there are times when I am all over the place.
I did wake up & gave myself 50mins of fitness, I did 30mins of step blast & then cooled down. I was still sweaty but dressed appropriately to take Shadow on a walk. By the time I was cooling down he was whining a little. I knew it was time....
I am watching Royal Pains right now but about to get up & do the treadmill. I ate too much junk food this week. I had loads of guacamole, chips, honey buns & enchiladas.So tomorrow I am doing kickboxing trying to burn some of the fat from super bowl, can this be done? No, I need to focus & move on.... lol

Good Monday Sparkfam! Its a brisk day here in Chicago but me & my family fun on Super bowl Sunday. We ate enchiladas, hot & chili lime wings, cheese pizza, cinnamon rolls & so on but we didn't eat it all at once. We ate dinner but then tasted a little of this & that. None of us had favorites in the game but I do like Ocho he is SUPER funny to me.
Anyhow, hubs is recuperating from rotator cuff surgery from last Thursday. He is such the baby but I have to be patient & help. I am going to need therapy after this cause he is the WORST patient EVER!!! I pray for patience & peace & also to be a more loving wife too. lol This man is total outrageous when he is sick & I get so upset & he says stuff that is supposed to funny but is quite offense. I have to remind of this all the time. My job is being quite understanding & giving me the time off I need. My boss is the BEST ever!! She told me that take all the time that I need. My manager of course is counting my vacations & whenever I leave early. All the while I make up any time I leave early often staying late to make up time. I have always been allowed but things can get pretty sticky when others come into power. I just pray for patience & the the Lord guide & my mouth. I can be rather slick with my tongue but I choose to stay in good spirits & laugh & smile, it keeps me wrinkle free. lol
So I am doing weights tomorrow & step aerobics for exercise tomorrow. What are you doing for you today?
Good Hump Day Sparkfam!! I must make a confession: I went out to meet my brother at a party where he was the dj & fell in love with the new slide dances that they are doing. They remind me of the electric slide & shuffle line dances. They are a little bit more complicated to do so I am watching on youtube to get the foot work down so I can add them as exercise. Level of difficulty is HIGH! I love of all them but would I go to the club to do them probably not but the next summer bbq spring fling it's gone be on & poppin! lol Copy the link & place in browsing if you feel like pumpin it up or you have fancy footwork? With these I see to have 2 left feet that apparently meet somewhere in the middle. lol
Today got up early, cleaned bathroom, fed dog, gave him fresh water then did my workout. Its the 1st of February so I am bringing it! I did step aerobics for cardio & did 30mins of legs & gluteus. I need to do some more cardio & extra upper body work, like dips & push ups. I really am trying to keep up with my exercising. I didn't do too bad on food today, I had 2TBSP guacamole dip with sour cream & 10chips with a small side of chicken enchiladas. It was so good especially since I didn't have breakfast. I wasn't that hungry so it was okay, I drank plenty of water to keep myself hydrated.
So its hump Wednesday & the dancers are ready so get in line & do the slide! Whichever one you like & don't forget to add it to your workout today. lol
