Happy Monday..

This is how my Monday started out Sparkfam but it actually went well. I made it through & I'm so glad about because I do have bp & still not at goal but I'm still in the land of the living. My friends that a blessing beyond measure especially when I think of the goodness of the Lord I am overwhelmed in the most excellent way. I am not as excited about my job as I used to be but if I lost it our household would suffer a great deal. So I am again blessed beyond measure & if I named all of the blessings that I receive on a daily basis I would overload Spark's systems. lol

So I celebrate the small things & I am humbled by the even bigger blessings. We are all going through right now but if you have most of your health & capabilities you need to say, "thank You Lord!"
I am eating decently, oatmeal for breakfast even though my pantry was lean due to not going to grocery store Saturday. I went today & I still forgot jelly. DUH! For lunch I campbell's roadhouse chili, spinach salad with golden italian dressing (YUMMY!!!) Tonight will be chicken breast or baked chicken thighs with rice & broccoli. I did have a banana & sunflower seeds for snacks but the 2chocolate chip cookies held me from overeating along with a serving of red vines. Tonight I am going to get my ab groove on & kickboxing.

So what are you grateful for?!!

Good Friday Sparkfam! Its a brisk day here in Chicago & I hopeful that we will have a few more days of summer in the next few months. I chickened out & turned on the heat last night. I was under2 comforters & pj's & I was still freezing. Maybe I was getting sick? Regardless of it all I am doing great today! I had a McDonald's Sausage Egg (scrambled) Egg McMuffin with coffee for breakfast. Thats okay cause I need that in order not make even worse decisions at lunch time today. The poached egg is supposed to be better for you healthwise but feels like I am egg chewing gum. YUK!!

So my motivation has been in & out the last few weeks. Especially since I am keeping my 4yr old grandson 3nights a week. I've been searching workouts to see if something would jolt me back into my 45-90mins of 5days a week workouts. I got nothing my old shoes have been killing me so I thought new shoes. Here are pictures of kicks:

I guess Kim Kardashan wears them too?! Whatever! I got them so that I could boost my output. I got the first shipment & the bottom of the shoes were dirty, I sent them back. They sent out another shipment & I love em!! I just want sprint into action!

As you can see from the picture I need some help in all those areas. lol This morning got up & did Gilad even though I wanted to just stay & lay in bed. So for now that are giving my mojo back. Or at least I think they are & some times thats all you need in this weight loss arena.

    I feel a cold snap in the air also. My mojo is going strong but my eating is the pits. LOL. I am drinking green tea and I love poached eggs but I have to be careful of the cholesterol in them. Oatmeal should help with that. Stay warm!!

    I am guilty as charged too Dee, I put the heat on this morning, it was 42 outside, but it was a beautiful day! The sneakers are amazing! way to go girl! It's hard to get motivated when U have a little baby around, they need a lot of attention and take up a lot of time. Does he nap at all? Thanks 4 the goodie girl! Good Friday Sparkfam!! I made it! That's no biggie since I didn't work on Monday or Tuesday. lol Next week is going to be a beast! My son will take the bus a couple of days & I will pick him up one or two days & then return to work. It could work maybe? Well my oldest son won't be home til Thanksgiving & that's okay but I might be nice & send him a ticket in October if he wants to come home by then. My daughter gave me a beautiful plant & I had to bring it to work to share it with my co-workers. I wish I had a clearer picture cause its so beautiful it doesn't look real. Now how will keep it alive will be the lick?

Today's workout was Gilad, Jillian & Kickboxing 30mins each. I might have to throw in a few minutes of abs. I have been neglectful of that area lately.

God bless & give someone you love a hug or give them flowers TODAY!

    I think the orchid is pretty easy to keep alive. There is one at my hair salon and she says they 'water' it with 3 ice cubes each week...and that's all it takes. Any more than that and it will be too wet, less and it is too dry...nice tip. It's gorgeous! I hope it lives a long time for you. Karen

Breakfast vs Workout....

Good Day Sparkfam! I need a cup of joe to help me this morning. Here in Chicago its a gorgeous fall day out, I mean its 71degrees sun is shining I love it! The only thing is that this fall like weather makes me sleepy. On Tuesday night I made a list of things I need to accomplish in morning before I go to work:

1.Get up watch Joyce Meyer 5am
2.Do Total Body by Gilad 5:30am
3.Leslie Walk DVD 20mins 6:40am
4.Get lunches ready & pour cereal for breakfast
5.Get me & Izzy dressed & make sure Tristan brushes his teeth

People, I premade lunches for both me & my son & did everything except make a hot breakfast. Today, I just watched Joyce, made lunches for me, my son & my hubby got in on the deal too. Then made pancakes for me & my son & the hubby wanted scrambled eggs sausage sandwich on wheat. I forgot to add sausages to his sandwich but he loved it anyway. That type of love & attention saved us all $16.92+ if figure we all eat out for breakfast & lunch. So I had to trade breakfast for my morning workout. Its not too bad, I just have to focus tonight & make sure I just do it! I will come back on Spark tonight & read some motivating blogs about people who are going to gym after work & that needs to include myself. Also by eating breakfast, I am not as hungry as I was yesterday from eating cold cereal. I feel really full.

Tomorrow I am going to try to repeat what I did on Wednesday morning as far as my list. I know I won't have time for all of it but I need to compress to make it happen.

So what would you choose, breakfast or your workout?

    well I have to eat to fuel up for my workout. Can't run on empty. I took my sister suggestion to exercise right after eating and this has worked out great for me!

    Great Plan Dee. You do have a busy morning. I might choose Breakfast of Oatmeal & Yogurt to stay satisfied. Work out time can be rescheduled. You handle multitasking very well. Kudos to you! Pancakes sound good too. Well enjoy your Thursday evening!

    Dee, I think you should DEFINITELY eat breakfast rather than working out a particular morning, if you can't do both. It helps to keep your metabolism up & keeps you from overeating later in the day. If you can exercise after work, there's no downside.

I do think that your family members could take turns helping with breakfast! It's good for them to learn how--& your sons' future wives will be eternally grateful to you. emoticon

    Hey Dee, you're doing great! I am proud of you. I wish there were some more pool days - we have an outside pool in our condo building. But it IS lovely out!
I went to Dots today to buy an outfit for my HS reunion. The 1X was too big and the XL is too small.
