Time Out....

Sunday, August 21, 2011

SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Mommy is having a time out!! Need to regroup & recuperate from the emotional highs & lows of this whole summer. With prom, luncheon, 2graduations & watching my whiny bratty little boys grow into young men has been draining, physically, mentally & financially.

Although my son (college) was driven to school yesterday 4hours in rain to sunshine, 7 state troopers & 2 deers which I blew my horn to get them away from the highway, we made safe & sound & NO tickets!! Thanking the Lord for His tender mercies & blessings. That they continue even when its not all sunshine even with the rain, I am a very blessed & thankful woman.

So now mom gets to take a nice hot bath & begin the holistic cleanse of being "just" mom again.

There was "NO" dinner or workout today. Thats how drained I am. And then there were 3. lol God bless Sparkfam & lets make this week count!

Glad things went well Dee, it's stressful enough driving that distance and then throw in police and deer and that totally gets me stressed! Relax and take time for you today. emoticon emoticon emoticon

They grow up so fast!!!! I'm sure your biblical teachings and living Godly examples to your children will enable them to continue in their lives before them.

We sent off one of the twins (nephews) to college to begin his adult life.......so surreal---they were babies just yesterday!!! Twin 2 will remain here and begin a local junior college. Although I'm not a "mom", I am a MOM and it's time for me to "somewhat" relax as well!!!!

Take that needed time for yourself, you deserve it!!!!

Blessings to you!!!!

So the time has come....

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Good Wednesday Sparkfam! Its a beautiful sunny day here in Chicago & I'm getting off early. I did get in my abs & Jillian Michaels this morning but I got to get better with my time in the morning. So the time has come that my youngest gets his cast off. I am nervous because he couldn't sit still & what if it didn't heal correctly. No I didn't pray for his healing specifically but I know God is able. I am hoping he won't have to have another cast put on?? I was also reading that it takes a little time before he can bend & walk on it? So with school starting for him on Monday, I guess he will have to be put on the injured list for sports & gym until he heals properly.

Oh I am also taking Thursday & Friday off to get my son off the WIU on Saturday. I am also a little anxious about him going but I know he at least listened in on a few of the million sermons I preached to him since he could throw a tantrum. lol Even when he wasn't listening he heard me. lol So it will just be me, my youngest & my hubby at home with Shadow. I know have to put a plan of action so Shadow isn't home all day by himself. I also want to be more available for my youngest as he has not shown up for his life yet. He is funny loving & loves to play & still acts like a 11yr old. I am glad he still acts like a baby but shocked when he acts his age. Another story for another time perhaps but they are growing up & soon there will be 3....YIKES!! I'm not ready but then again I am ready. I wouldn't mind returning to school I think its time & I would like to start doing something I love to do.

I pray you all have a wonderful hump Wednesday!

God bless & do something for yourself today!!

Dance!!

Great job with all your men at home. The time is truly flying by. I pray your son's leg heals properly & gets back to normal use. He's probably tired of limping around. So do you have a plan on how often you will send care packages or will you only send gift cards? Well thanks for sharing your family with us. You are very blessed!

Thank You for all you do in motivating & encouraging me daily.
Much luv!

Family Time.....

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Good Sunday Sparkfam! Just at home cooking a big meal for my family & guess what? They actually aren't here yet but that won't stop me from cooking from the heart & filling the meal with love & devotion. When I was little my mom would cooking every Sunday starting on Saturday so she could be available for church. I don't know why but I prefer to cook on Sunday myself. I guess I just need to really get my time in the kitchen down to a pattern. Because I so love cooking big meals that my feet often hurt by the time I am done cooking. Today's menu: baked chicken, rib tips, corn on cob, turnip greens, sweet potatoes, spaghetti & garlic toast. The last meal at home should be a good one since he won't be back til around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Next Saturday I take my oldest son to college, its a 4.5hour tour downstate & I am looking forward to it but at the same time I am not sleeping well, So I guess its my rebellion from reality. My daughter was so much more dramatic because we were closer and she was the one who helped me out the most. lol At any rate, we have been arguing & packing his bags since 2008! So we have been parting ways for the longest time.

Today's workout is yoga & Jillian Michaels & I might do 40mins of walk/jog dvd burning close to 800 calories give or take a hundred. lol

So what was your family time today?

God bless & enjoy everyday!

That's my kind of meal! How great your son is going to college. So they won't have a fall break? That's a long time to be gone but he will love it & grow a little. My son won't go...yet. He is a manager @ BK & he is satisfied at this time. I was a very good student in high school so I went to Jr College(I was afraid to go away)lol But college is great.

Now stop that crying Dee they do grow up so fast. Next thing he'll be getting married. LoL ok not that soon. Thanks for all the goodies and support. You are a blessing to me always.
God bless & Have a Great Week!

Sure looks good. Was a bad boy today and had two small burgers with a few fries. But I will not make that mistake again. Best wishes for your son with college.

Whose's the Leader in your line?

Tuesday, August 09, 2011

Good Tuesday Sparkfam! Thought I would just share the motivational message from Sparkpeople for today:

At school when I was younger, the teacher would assign a person to be in front of the line, a second in command & someone to bring up the rear. The person in front was given a position to see all that was going on & lead the way the teacher commanded. The person in the rear got to the awful job of tattling on all those who did not follow the directions, talked in line & just acted out. Nobody wanted to be the last in line, that would entail us tattling on friends. lol
So my question to you today is who is the leader in your line?

God bless & enjoy everyday!

Just Another Manic Monday

Monday, August 08, 2011

Happy Monday Sparkfam! It was a sunny & warm day here in Chicago but now the rain is coming down. My backyard looks like a forest because we haven't had time to clear all the bushes. YIKES!!

This is what I woke up looking like. I wanted to stay in bed but I knew my morning workout was waiting for me. So I got up & busied myself with everything else but an hour of workout. Finally, I jumped!

I put it into gear & got up & pressed "play." I did 30mins of Cathe Rhythmic Step & 35mins of Jillian Ripped in 30days. I am feeling the after shocks of doing both workouts together. I want to do 20mins of abs & 30mins of yoga tonight? We will see.

What do you do to motivate yourself to "just do it?"

God bless & make effort to make it happen!
