Good Day Sparkfam! Its early here in Chicago & still overcast from the weather yesterday. My oldest son went on prom last night & it was cloudy & light misting. He wore a white suit with a blue & silver accents. I don't know if I could use such language with a man but hey since he is my son & its my blog Ima do how I do. lol He was so handsome & he wanted to borrow our benz but it was kinda uncomfortable & no air. I don't know about you but when I am dressed up I tend to get a little warm. So we had 2 options, ask our cousin who owns a cadillac CTS to borrow hers or ask a good friend to borrow his camaro. Now my son who is a car enthusiast LOVES the camaro. But I was apprehensive about asking to borrow it? So I told him lets just use the benz & that way we are responsible on our part. Well I did ask the friend & we got the camaro. The camaro was midnight blue with a drop top. I drove it home & I could not believe all the attention & drama I was getting. I felt like I was a young girl with many admirers again. lol So we drove it home & I parked it out front. He wasn't home but when he got back & saw the car you'd think he'd won the lottery!! He jumped around & hooped & hollered like we bought it for him? lol
So he got dressed & it took him an hour & a half. Mind you he had already taken a show, took a run downtown to find his prom location & pick the wings. I'll get to that later. . . . Well, I believe it doing it big for them cause part of it is for me. I love to do big directions & special little things for my loved ones. Some times even for unsuspecting strangers. So I got a few helium balloons & signs & flowers & cup cakes & more balloons. I got plastic cups & table clothes & little plastic wine glasses (I know not environmental sound) & macaroni & potato salad. I had my son order wings & then go pick them up. My family, friends & neighbors all came out to see him & he looks suave & debonair. lol He took the top down & went to pick her up & bring her back for more photos. Well we laughed talked & enjoyed each others company young & old. He came back & she was very pretty but as a parent I would not have co-signed on that dress. I mean it was blue with silver glitter thingys, she had 3 little diamonds cut in the front, it was a halt dress, came over her thighs & had a checkered blue & silver train. I guess this is all the rage in promdom now but I believe it the princess theory. They have another night to dress flashy I think it should be about sophistication & cinderella dresses. That's just me but I was censored & barred after the first dress incident. lol I got graduations for both my sons on Monday so the partying will never end. I will load photos another day but I am tired for now.
Today, once I am rested, I got walking to do, yoga with weights & cardio step aerobics. What are you guys up to today?

Good Hump Day Sparkfam! Its a beautiful but very hot & humid day here in Chicago. I am staying inside as much as possible to keep from getting a bad sun tan or overwhelmed. So I am combating this heat by eating lighter & healthier. So I ate a bowl of cereal, then a sandwich for lunch, I did have half a sweet role but I will have a cup of strawberries & a slice of watermelon for snacks. My dinner will be baked chicken with a salad. Will I eat ice cream or not? Its too hot to eat anything that will make me feel heavy. So its time to dance & enjoy this day. My son went on luncheon & I am having my porch painted since its in much need of some attention.
My workout today was tons of walking & doing some cardio for 45minutes. So how do you enjoy the warmer temps without falling out?? Remember to be safe, check on your older brothers & sisters & those who have illnesses as well.

Good Sunday Sparkfam! What a beautiful day to be in the land of the living! Despite my aches & pains & the stress of two sons graduating from 8th & 12th grade, I thank the Lord I'm still alive!! WOOHOOO!! So yesterday I ate loads of junk food well what's loads to me: red vines, donut holes & Dots. I just sampled & sampled until I had a portion of all of them. So that was good but still bad.
Today, I am recovering, I ate my raisin bran with 1%milk, dannon blueberry yogurt, had 1serv of donut holes, orange juice & grapefruit juice. Dinner tonight will be salmon & baked chicken, corn on cob & sweet potatoes. Which is a lot better & healthier for me.
Today's workout is walking, jillian michael & push pull weight workout. What are you doing to be better today than yesterday?

Good Tuesday Sparkfam!! Its a beautiful but overcast day here in Chicago but I won't complain. Just last week, I had the heat on. . .Now its air conditioning I wish my house were more open & I could open the windows & allow the air to flow through. I don't like to ride in a car with air conditioning unless, its miserable outside. True. I take this warm weather & it melts the ice off my mustache in the winter. lol
So today, I wanted a vanilla frosty from Wendy's. So I went & got my small frosty & sm natural cut fries. I really enjoyed that & once I was done with that, I was full. I am still full right now. So my question to you is do you ride it out & drink water or do you satisfy the crave? Some times I just go without cause it will open up cans of worms I got no place to put em. So today, I was like you want that? Eat & be happy & guess what Sparkfam? I was happy! Even though food is not supposed to be eaten for satisfaction but out of necessity. Or is it?
Today, my workout was walking, playing with the day care kids (one whom locked me out! lol) & did 30mins of Total Body with Gilad. While I am at work I will do some body weight exercises to prepare for tonight I need to hit those abs & do some cardio. Tomorrow is National Run Day, are you going to run for 10seconds or 15minutes? I might get out there with my doggie Shadow & do the do early in the morning.
