Good Sunday Sparkfam!! Its a wonderful day here in Chicago & I had a great weekend!! Friday, I left work early to pick my hubby up from work seeing that he hit a pot hole & the entire tire came off the rim. So lucky me I had to get up from my warm bed & take him to work. Grant, I don't punch a clock, I'm kinda salaried so when I told him to get out of the house & go to work his response was smart. I didn't brush my hair or teeth & was barely clothed but I took him & after him arguing with himself back & forth did he finally hush & got there 2minutes before being late. I know, I am a decent wife cause I should've taken my time but he would've gotten written up. I went to pick him up & we went to McDonalds to get chicken nuggets cause my grandson was coming over & he loves nuggets. We also went to KFC to get chicken wings & made it home. For the life of me, this is the first time in a long time, that I didn't feel like my weekend escaped me. I mean I thought it was 9pm & it was 6:30pm! Seriously I was trippin out. My grandson didn't want to leave so I played Wii with him & tried to get him all tired out but he wasn't going. lol
Saturday, I woke up early & made breakfast before 9am which is rare cause normally eat breakfast around 1pm. So we played on the computers then he played Wii & then he was getting cranky so it was nap time. His mom & dad came to get him around 4pm & I was making my famous tacos but they had none. More left for the boys (hubs & 2sons) I had 1 chicken taco, my youngest had 2chicken & 1 steak, my oldest had 3 steak tacos & hubs had 3chicken tacos. We had tortilla chips & salsa as sides & they were delicious since I used pico de gallo. The onions & green bell peppers aroma filled the whole house & tasted as strong too.
This morning we woke up & got dressed for church. The boys went together but I went to my god mother's church. We spent some time together but she wanted to go & sit down & eat but I wasn't hungry. I know I know I should've went but I know I could sit there & drink a beverage & not eat & its not pretty. So I told her next time we will definitely go out & sit down & spend time together. I have got to get better with spending time with her cause she has been there for me since I can remember. I would say at least 4 or 5 years old.
It was a beautiful day filled with the word of God & blessing His wonderful name!! I got loads of walking in earlier today as I hit the mall & a few stores parking far from my the store & getting my walk on. Just totally grateful for being here today! I got home baked some salmon, sautéed some chicken, baked some chicken, made some chili & broccoli. Its not much but it should hold us til at least Wednesday-Thursday. I pray so, I don't like coming home to cook unless its easy, like frying chicken or making tacos.

Good Day Sparkfam! Its a brisk but extremely sunny day here in Chicago & I'm in high spirits! Did I thank you guys for all your support & for helping me when I feel I need support too. You guys are the best cheer leading squad around!! YEAH ME!! WOOHOO!
I woke up this morning feeling like someone slipped me a mickey. That means they drugged me somehow? So needless to say, I laid in bed until 9am & then got up to rush out to work without breakfast & bottle of milk & a hurried piece of grilled KFC chicken for lunch. I was got to work feeling sleepy and tired, I don't if I've told you guys but I am really fatigued lately. I also have been have an ache in my shoulder so I have self-diagnosed myself with walking pneumonia. Why? I had it when I was child and while I don't have a fever or cough, I'm tired & achy. Not achy or tired from working out either. I am making an appointment to have my doctor listen to my chest & see what goes with that. I have had a cough a mucus every other week but I don't have a cold or feel congested. Maybe I am being silly but I'll just have it checked out. lol
So I am at work going through my emails and decided to take the "real age" test. I will be 42 in April but my real age would be 38. Now if I could workout less, lose more weight, take a vitamin e supplement & eat more potassium & eat more fish or take a Omega 3 supplement that would probably take it down another 5 years. I sat here feeling good but wondering how much is my health worth to me? I mean, couldn't buy more fruits & veggies, buy more foods filled potassium, eat more fish? Then I went to Target got me some bananas & a bottle of bolthouse real juice & strawberries. I got a lettuce too. By the time I was done I had spent almost $40. Which isn't surprising to me at all. I should allot for fresh fruits and vegetables weekly for me & the family always.
I did walk today for 60mins & tonight after making steak & chicken tacos & chili. I will be doing Vinyasa Yoga for 60mins once I get everyone else taken care of.
So how much is your health worth to you?
You don't need a membership to a gym everything we could possibly need is available to us here on Sparkpeople the rest is inevitably up to us. . . .Remember to celebrate the small things everyday!

Hey Sparkfam! Its the 4th day of January I just wanted to ask you how is it going? I don't know why but after Thanksgiving I haven't worked out as hard as normally do. So now what? As I try to get back to my level of commitment which is roughly 1hours of walking 1hour of various fitness dvds. Where I am today, well I did do 30mins of walking, 30mins of Total Body Sculpt, 30mins of Zumba & looking forward to Pilates Sculpt tonight. Now if I get 30mins that's really nice but if I could do the whole 60mins WOOHOO! lol
I don't count it as depressing that I am not staying on fruits & veggies & lean meats only. I find that I am not eating 2 big mac or 1 double quarter pounder with cheese & a large fry & soda. No quite the opposite I ate a bowl of oatmeal with 1 slice of honey wheat toast w/2%milk. For lunch I had a baked potato w/butter & a cup of low sodium soup. However that's where it gets crazy, I took a vitamin & if I am not completely full then I will get light headed sluggish & queasy. So I had to eat a bag of chips & a bag of raisinets. So tonight's dinner will be pb&j on honey wheat broccoli brown rice & milk. I might have a small piece of jerk chicken to fill any voids from being hungry. When you workout for 2hours or more you should be putting away close to the high end of your caloric range until your can trick your tummy to eat less. lol I also had red vines, I wanted some but it was cold I didn't want to go to the store & the hubby feeling guilty for an argument he started bought me a few packs. So you know what that means, I will have bring my A game.
How is your water & sleep going as well? I've had 6 cups so far & working toward my 8cups my sleep last night was treacherous cause I the heat was up way to high & I prefer to sleep comfortably at 74 degrees & loads of cover. My hubby loves to keep it on 82degrees. I was burning more calories in my sleep than I possibly wanted to. So I had to get up & turn off tvs, turn down the heat & then BAM, I'm up. So tonight I should be good & tired & get plenty of rest.

Happy New Year's Eve Sparkfam! Its been a glorious year & I want thank you all for your support! Its been a wonderful day that I have spent with my family & in prayer & filled with fabulous food. We had a rack of lamb, lobster tail, jerk chicken, tbone steak & baked salmon. The sides were chicken & broccoli stir fry & chicken & green bean stir fry, baked sweet & baked potatoes, a garden salad, garlic cheese toast, caramel & strawberry shortcake cakes.
My family spared no expense with the compliments and I must say the meal was better than I expected. The lamb was tender and had its own unique taste. I really liked it alot. Well I kissed each & everyone of them & we had prayer & we will light candles tonight. Have you made your resolutions yet? I don't make any myself but together we can keep them. . . .
