Its Sunday Sparkfam & the stove is working. . . . My menu today is baked & fried chicken, broccoli, au gratin potato & sweet potatoes. No trick or treaters & thats cool cause I love quiet Sundays. I power walked today for the QFC & abs I'm working on it. I will see if I can get some weight lifting in but depends on when the food is done. I stand on my feet the whole time so I get no rest until dinner has been served & dishes washed.

HAPPY FRIDAY Sparkfam!! I hate to rush the days but actually Thursday is my favorite day of the week. But I will take Friday every week. lol So last night I did rest the leg & had my hubby rub down my leg with witch hazel which it seem to have worked cause I did this mornings workout with no nagging little pain.

Well my workout today is walking of course which I try to do everyday. Not just walking to & from my car, or to the frig. I actually make an effort to wear my pedometer & try to get those 10,000+ steps. Some days I make & others I will call my rest day. lol Today I caught up on body sculpt with Kendall & then I danced to seal the deal.

Do you ever do your exercise in a certain order to seal in the work that you have done? I like to do weights first & then do cardio or yoga. I don't if it will make sense to you but it absolutely makes sense to me. lol

today for breakfast I had oatmeal & 2 slices of honey wheat toast w/butter & jelly. I was so full, YUMMY!! For lunch I was almost bad, I had a McDonald's Happy Meal w/coca cola. I didn't do too bad because I could've had a SUPERSIZE ME meal. lol I eat half the fries, too most of the bread of the hamburger & took a few swigs from the coke & poured it out. Tonight for dinner will be light. Maybe I might get out tomorrow & make it date night? It could happen. . . .((((HUGS))))

A Case of Somebody Not Doing Their Job. . . .

Good Day Sparkfam! Its been one here in old Chicago. I got up, did my 30mins of Imax which is a very high energy, high octane workout. I made oatmeal & had dry toast it was really good. I actually could've made it to work on time but once outside, I found that it was a VERY chilly 45degrees. BRRRRRRRRR. So I had to warm the truck & I was underdress but made it finally & actually got compliments on my outfit. WOOHOO!!!

Let me tell you about yesterday afternoon. I went to Target to get to get chips, gatorade & red vines. It was very windy & I'm always self-conscious about run away carts. So when I got into the store, I noticed there were loads of missing carts. I was like OMG its going to be crazy. So I did my shopping got in & was ready to get out. I took my bags out of the cart & placed it in the cart bin. As I turned to walk away, BAM! A run away cart hit me on the hip. Man, let me tell you, I know I've been changed cause I didn't curse (outloud or inside) I just looked at the employee collecting the carts watch as the cart slide into my thigh. I wheeled around & was like that really hurt! It hurt for a while but the pain minimized. A case of somebody not doing their job!

Got home last night to do Kick Punch & Crunch for 40mins but ended up doing the entire workout. My leg kept aching & it was nawing at me. Two things I'm doing wrong, not resting the leg & wearing m 4inch boots. lol Some times I can't resist beating myself up but for good & not bad.

    Good morning , Dee . I am sorry that you got hurt by the runaway cart , it is definitely a case of someone not doing their job. Thank God that you mainatined a cool head ( which was hard for me to do in the past , too ! ) and you got a workout in. I do agree that you need to rest your leg . With Visions of Red Vines . . . .

Good Day Sparkfam!! I had a good nights sleep but have you ever woke up in the morning & caught extra sleep? Well I did this & instead of having visions of sugar plums, I had visions of me in Target getting box upon box of Red Vines. lol I sit here & giggle to myself that people dream of food but not me, I dream of sweets. I even dreamt they had made a hard candy & that I could try it for 2 cents. So here I sit with my mind on Red Vines. I have been decent except I have been having twinkies. Which is better? High carb Red Vines or high fat Twinkies? I need your help. . . . . .

Anyho, I did legs & glutes last night & WOW are my legs tense. My upper body is kinda screaming too cause I did boot camp yesterday & I did plenty of planks, push ups & squat thrust climbers which is a mess in itself. Tonight I need to do 30-40mins of cardio, step aerobics would be easier on my body than kick boxing I think. . . . Also, the QFC for today is push ups!! UGH!!! Help!! So I will be do wall push ups & modified push ups cause a sistah is not trying kill herself. Also, I need to reserve some strength for the rest of the week's workouts.

    I know what you mean , girl . I love Twizzlers too ! I think both are bad but Twizzlers are at least fat free . I am scared of Twinkies , since they came out with Strawberry flavored . Have a good one , sweetie. emoticon

    I love Twizzlers. Sour twizzlers. When I was eating them I fell in love with all kinds of sour candy. Is that part of getting old? I never ate koolaide out of the package like my sister...this is sugar less too. Lemons wasn't my cup of I love it in my tea...and they encourage putting lemon in your tea...not sugar.

I prefer Zingers to Twinkies. I am an icing person. lol So you know I love those Little Debbie's oatmeal cakes. But when you decide to read the don't want to waste calories too much these days. At least I can't. I eat that dark chocolate though and it is tasting good. It used to be so bitter but for a treat I love it! lol.

Haven't been dreaming about food or sweets. I am so thankful to go to sleep. emoticon Red Vines are ok if Twizzlers are not available. But I can eat them mindlessly so can't have those around.
Hope you can sleep better. lol emoticon emoticonIt's those twinkies. emoticon

    Hi we can do all things through Christ whom strengthens us. Girl you know menopause is just a part of a womans life cycle. Now HBP is not and I am working on that. I found so much to work with menopause. So I am not discouraged. just did not know what was causing headaches it was black cohash and I just threw in the garbage. now if you got those red vines do what I did with that cohash GARBAGE!!!!!

I haven't had twinkies in a long time!**I love Red Vines**too!
I got to do more walking and jump rope,since there were a lot of birthdays this month.
Too much cake and not enought exercise,so I gain some weight!

Inspite of. . . .

Good Day Sparkfam! Inspite of being tired, cooking 3hour straight last night & entertaining my kids & grandson, I woke up & gave thanks & worked out. I felt like doing this:

Instead I got up & did Cathe Boot Camp, did some stretching & walking. I am trying to eat right but still eating my Wethers & chewing my sugar free gum. I did have a glazed donut for breakfast but thats better than 2 bags of chips, I think? lol

So inspite of what is going in your life, are you striving to be healthier?

    You are admirable, Dee! I felt like staying under the covers this morning too, but I did get up & "walk" (it's really more strenuous than plain walking) two miles with Leslie Sansone. Breakfast was good (my homemade muesli with blueberries & banana, plus milk & a little apple cider), lunch was good (low-fat tuna salad sandwich, chop salad, grapes), & tonight I'm going to be having Thai food with some friends--I'll strive to keep my portions smallish.

WE are admirable--we're taking good care of ourselves! emoticon

    I was just saying elsewhere that I have to have a plan to keep myself accountable, with the dreaded Christmas season around the corner I know I have to have a program to be ok with the delicious treats that will come my way.

I know that if I get in my four week program before xmas and I keep healthy during this time, during Xmas I will only allow a week out before a new program starts. emoticon
