Good Saturday afternoon Sparkfam! I am doing so much better & I thank you all for your support! Today, I did laundry, did grocery shopping & then made up the bed with fresh sheets & logged on to spark. . . Here are your free keys but you have to ignite change in your life daily to get success daily. So we all know the steps by heart back to front front to back now initiate. . .Today I had oatmeal with toast for breakfast, cashews & yogurt for snack, lunch campbells chicken, bean & veggie soup with crackers & pb & j with broccoli for dinner. I did have a hostess twinkie & sugar free gum. This is because my workout is next to nill as I recuperate but I might bust a move later with Gilad? We will see. . .

    You always eat some great meals. Hope you did not do too much too soon as you tell me. I'm limping from room to room and cant wait to get to the dr on Wed to see what i'm dealing with. Thank the Lord that He is our Healer!

well. . . . . . .

Thank You!
So I am not feeling too good but I am pressing onward. I actually didn't do my workout last night Cathe's Legs & Glutes but did it this morning. Tonight I wanna do Muscle Endurance but I will have to see how my body reacts. I could really go for some chicken & veggie soup. One can could feed me for 4 days. I know I am sick & I am still thinking fugal. lol

It would warm my cold body up that's for sure. I feel achy but that could my workout from yesterday Upper Body. I am getting up & walking around to warm myself & I am doing my butt kicks for my daily Quick Fire Challenge.

I'm gonna need to be doctored on when I get home first & foremost & get some rest & plenty of liquids.
Oh it is Hump Wednesday, don't forget to BUST A MOVE!!!

So its Saturday afternoon & I haven't done a thing that I was supposed to. So now what? I have to get a bottle of sparkling wine or apple juice for a 50th birthday party & a card. I have a gift bag that I am building, scented candle, sparkling cider in a nice gift bag, mary kay mini hand bag & then put the gift bag inside a gift bag. I don't think cash is ever appropriate when you are over 35yrs old cause you can never say what is a good amount? At least, I think gifts are amazing. . . . .So what will I be wearing? A black & white blouse that it TOO big, a pair of black skinny slacks & my NEW sexy black sandal's!!

Now I wanted the caramel colored ones but they were out of stock. So I got the black ones. Do you guys think that this is too much black? I am trying to be in fashion with a 50th birthday party.

I am about to go make my mom famous pancakes, bacon, turkey sausage, hashbrown & scrambled eggs with cheese for me & hubby. We like to eat breakfast late on the weekends, so my campbell's brown rice, veggies with chicken will be my dinner snack before I head out. I will be trying to catch a ride if possible, my car is acting up. Its due for maintenance anyway.

I will be doing walk dvd, some yoga & step aerobics if my legs allow me. I was supposed to be doing the walk tour but my legs are aching. I can't let my cousin down & not be prepared for tonight.

I don't think one can ever have too much black. emoticon That being said, you can always spice it up with colorful jewelry or scarves.

As for my activities today - I joined Curves today and went and worked out. I need to clean up my yard and will pick up all the apples and put them in the compost pile, then hopefully mow the yard. Tonight I teach dance. So a full day for me!

Small Changes Equal Good Feelings. . .

So Happy Friday Sparkfam! Its a beautiful 75degrees here in Chicago & its a wonderful day to get out & walk. I didn't have a chance so I popped in Leslie Sansone Walk DVD. Wasn't as picturesque but it was a heart smart decision to make. I also did Cathe Supersets this morning & I feel good! Today I had a twinkie with carnation strawberry breakfast drink after my workout. At work I coffee (w/cream & sugar), a slice of toast w/butter & jelly for breakfast. The biggest change is for lunch I had a HUGE baked potato with butter, red pepper flakes, black pepper & a dash of salt:

It was so delicious & I guess a little selfish because I should've bought two. My co-worker just kept coming by & smelling my fresh baked potatoes. I tried to not use butter but I could not. Does anyone have any substitution advice? With that I had green tea. I had to put TWO sugar packets in cause it is so gross! But you know what, I craved it over the weekend. So the small changes are equalling good feelings! Even my husband commented that my calves are getting muscular. I was like I hate to do squats, push ups & calf lifts but I do love to walk/jog in place while cooking food & while watching tv. So my waist is getting smaller & my body is toning up but I am working on getting the numbers down. I haven't eaten any meat today! ? emoticon emoticon emoticon

What small changes are you making it could be daily, weekly or long term?

    If you like cheese potatoes... I use: TOSTITOS® Salsa Con Queso

2 TBSP: 40 calories
Fat: 2.5

    I rarely the potatoes they wreck my sugars but some times I eat small ones with cottage cheese, or Light mayo also smart balance spread with olive oil. If i want to be bad with mozzerala cheese emoticon, Could even make stuffed spud with roasted red and green peppers with cooked onions if you wanted protein use ground turkey. Potatoes are so versatile.

    Light sour cream is great if you like sour cream. Salsa is good to. I use some of the spreads that helps lower cholesterol and have olive oil in it. Can't remember the name. lol But they also have sour cream. I've used I can't believe it's Not Butter and it does me good. Homemade Chili works great. I can't eat many white potatoes because of the carbs. You work out enough to eat butter in moderation. Butter has some great health benefits.

    There is a butter substitute called Brummel and Brown. It is whipped yogurt. It has less calories and fat than real butter, but it tastes just like butter. I almost like it more than butter!

    Yum! that baked potato looks and sounds amazing! Whenever we make baked potatoes we use really good extra virgin olive oil on them instead of butter. Now of course, being Greek we have really good oil around all the time, but I'm sure if you can find good quality olive oil in Chicago....give it a try, you don't have to use much either.

Oh, and great job with your workout! I didn't workout again today...2 days in a row...and I feel so bad about it :(((

So you know what it is Sparkfam!!! Its Hump Day & I thought how fitting that I share this video link to with you! Most of the music I knew but the guy dancing always makes me giggle about the Evolution of American Dance:
After viewing you should be at least smiling or should've busted a move! lol

I know you guys still can move it even if we don't allow our kids to see us dancing anymore. lol

Well, today I woke early, watched Joyce Meyer & then walk Shadow about 6blocks, then I went home & did All Star Workouts Boot Camp with Kendall. When he was just lifting his knees you know I went postal & jumped up. lol I just like to burn when I supposed to be burning. Tonight I wanna do some more weights or maybe some cardio just to keep busy.

Now get some rest.

    If I do dance ((my kids wouldt laugh their guts out) I have two left feet. Even felt a little funny exercising in front of them or hubbie....when that old devil tell me they are laughing at you I rebuke that voice and keep going when exercising. NOTE thu if I ma dancing in the spirit noting has to do with timing cause its God time. emoticon
