Victory is My Name by Jonathan Nelson
What a wonderful & awesome God I serve! Its truly been a blessed day today. I woke up spent time with my family & then got up, took a shower & we were headed to church. The pastor's sermon "Equipped to Stand Victorious in Battle Ephesians 6:10-18." What meaty meal we were able to partake of! I know that we are given power over our enemy but we first must be willing to submit to the will of God. Some times we think just "because" we have victory but we need teaching & training to be victorious in our battle. We must put on the whole armor of God! Despite the attacks of satan God has equipped us for battle and prepared us for victory but we must exercise of faith in God. We must submit ourselves to God, draw nigh to Go & cleanse our hands & purify our hearts.

I came home cooked pot roast, carrots, au gratin potatoes, baked chicken & broccoli. So that my youngest son would eat veggies I sliced cucumbers & added a little salt & loads of peppers. That worked tremendously! He ate that would a smidgen of ranch dressing. I had a salad with cucumbers with a dash or two of ranch dressings, Everybody had a little bit of this & a little bit of that. They left the table full & we thanked God for His goodness & mercy!

I am doing weights & walking today because I did not get a workout in this morning. See what happens when you lounge around in the morning? I need to get up & hit it!

God bless & enjoy Sunday!

Dee

Good Times. . . .

Saturday, July 10, 2010

So yesterday we had our informal staff meeting which included naturally baked chips, chicken thighs, chicken breasts, steaks, pork chops, mushrooms & cole slaw. I ate my stak which was cooked to perfection. It only needed A-1 steak sauce. I always ruin a good steak but I was a trooper and ate on without the steak sauce. So delicious! I ate half & took the rest home for scraps for my doggie. He was well pleased! lol

Anyway, the meeting was about us taking every other Friday off. We will switch out with another employee so we are not understaffed but still enjoing the summer. I am so STOKED! I am even willing to give my co-worker, who by the way too off yesterday, next Friday to start. How angelic am I?! I know I know hold the applause cause I almost was going to take Monday off but I've been given this olive branch.

Although the office was in no danger of burning down yesterday we had just got the grill started so we were not able to offer them anything. They made light of it & joked with me & the rest of the staff. lol

What an awesome way to start the weekend!

God bless & enjoy Saturday!

These are the Good Times. . . . . .

My meetings were never like yours either. Sounds like a warm way to relax and relate and agree on things, like the alternate Fridays off. Good going. -- Lou

Can You Hear That?

Friday, July 09, 2010

No not the sounds of me jumping up & down from working out or from losing 2lbs. No my sweet boss has decided to grill us some chicken & steaks on him & turned on the oven & guess what? You're guessed it! The fire alarm went off. The sound is annoying if nothing else & the fire department came & that's the shame. They might've been a real call & they were here. Anyway, it was an honest mistake & one we will not let him live down. lol

Today I got up at 3am to go & do laundry. I had my mp3 player on & man, I was movin & groovin to classic gospel music the Hawkins family & Near the Cross & man I was refreshed! I finished the laundry, took my son to work, fed the ducks by the pond & made it in to work. Even tho that darn idiot box was holding my attention, I told it NO & let go & got goin. lol That's what I am starting to be more vocal about my downfalls, "NO!" My final answer. . . . What's yours?

Today, I am doing Push/Pull & maybe Tae bo if I can tell that enticing bed, "NO!" Then I am on my way. I am sleepy & a nap is in order

I just had a cup of Keurig coffee its gourmet Caramel Delight. It was very refreshing. I also brought watermelon & Dannon Light & Fit Blueberry yogurt. I don't wanna get too full or else I will nod off. . .lol

God bless & enjoy your weekend!

That is a interesting story of the boss. Wow! I was dancing to my Granddaughters single gospel song she made from the school board. Not as early as you though.

I think I played her song 6 times "Operator" I mean she can sure sing rock gospel. The sax was playing with her and the drums. She hit those high notes down to the burly voice. She sang her first song when she was two and it is hard to realize she goes singing in different places. Sometimes I cannot keep up where she travels.Nor where she has been. I have her in my sparks album. Till some one tells me. Your Granddaughter sang over at so and walk for cancer. My niece was walking for a dear feiend who has sinced passed on and she hear her name. Melissa T. She could not believe right time, same place. She heard her belt it out.

I love to dance big time. And I movin and groovin and I am 68.
So what you did today doing laundry and dancing and most likely singing along. Dont knock it. That is great! Dancing has always been in my blood and still is.

You did fab. emoticon

Getting Out More . . .

Saturday, July 03, 2010

Got up early as usual to beat the crowds to the grocery store but I think everyone had the same idea. lol I mean, I stood in line longer than I shopped at the grocery store. I wore my pedometer & got 6000+ step from parking far away from the door. I got a questions though? Why is it that I spend more money in Walmart & Target than in the grocery store? I try & try to figure it out but I got nothing. . . . Got home with the groceries & had the boys get the bags, hey I did all the HEAVY lifting. They can tear themselves away from the Wii & tv to help with groceries that they are going to demolish. lol After I washed dishes & cooked grits egg toast bacon sausage me, my hubby & son went to see the Last Airbender. My son & husband really enjoyed. I feel like my day has been full but I still ready to get out & do more. I know I need to get the food started for tomorrow but I just want to play. . . .If you didn't have chores you had to do, money was not an issue, what would you be doing right now? I would probably head to Toronto its so clean there & just tour the city, its beautiful!

God bless & be safe this 4th of July!

Happy 4th Dee. I would have loved to have been at the beach but they are so crowded on the 4th. We stayed home and hung out at my neighbor's pool. He is away and we are pool sitting - lol. My kids are away so it's just Kenyon and myself for the most part. His daughter Jess, Jason and the grandkids have been up off and on so that's been good. Very low key......

Enjoy the rest of the weekend emoticon
