My Christmas Cheats!

Tuesday, December 09, 2008

So I work at a small not-for-profit organizations & at Christmas time, we receive many cards, sweets & cookies treats. I thought already have a favorite cookie, Keebler Fudge Stripes, right? Wrong! Its those Cheryl & Co sugar cookies with frosting! Its in the winter time do we get these & every once in a while I will order 12 cookies which cost a whooping $21.95 plus shipping & handling! So yes, I only afford my these when a gift or my crave becomes a wave & crash down on me & I have to order them!! They are also great as a gift to me of course!! I know I should be doing some sit ups or push ups or punching into air or doing relentless high kicks but I just wanted a cookie!!! emoticon So I'll do all that & more after I eat maybe 2 more cookies? Or is it enough that I am lifting these oh so heavenly cookies with my forearm to my mouth savoring every crumb & frosting? Well it was worth a try!! emoticon

Have a Great Day!

Blessings,

Dee

This too shall pass, and again we start anew.... "Stay encouraged"... the best is yet to come...

I'm with you on the fudge stripes. Those and the chocolate covered graham crackers usually get opened before I even get my groceries home. Something about that Keebler Elf magic.

Thanks for the encouragement and the laughs and God bless you!

Effort, Big or Small = Results

Thursday, November 13, 2008

So you've been feeling sluggish lately. Not enough time in the day to do all of your chores/duties & still work out? Well, I have been reading healthy magazines for quite some time & now I notice that if you work out 20minutes daily, you will see results. The thing is do or can you believe that, after everything else we hear? Of course we will have to be cautious of our snacking & try to choose healthier but can you commit to this?! I am finding that since I have changed my way of thinking that I do more. I use to be able to get up faithfully every morning & do 60minutes no problem but lately I have been feeling burnt out. So effort, big or small will equal results.

Doesn't he look dreamy!!!!

Blessings!

As of late, I have been feeling sluggish as well! I have found it definitely worth doing 20 minutes. It has been even more worth doing HIIT. Now I just have to remember not to snack.
Take care dear,

Yes, I agree about effort = results. When I did the 30 Day Shred, I was working out everyday and I got results. This month I'm back to what I did before and it isn't a daily thing, but it does get me results.

And as for Marky Mark...yeah, he looks good. I loved those Calvin Klein ads. They made me a big fan. emoticon

    That's a great reminder, thanks!
And if a fitness guru like you can look at it this way, well then that must mean that I can succeed by doing a bit everyday.

Hey Dee!! yes i've noticed that if i do a workout for 20-30mins everyday i feel great, instead of doing 60 mins or more in one go and feeling burnt out.

And the answer to your question-Yes he does look dreamy, but i've always thought that. emoticon

Juicy Couture?!

Monday, November 10, 2008

So you've been taking all the necessary steps to make this healthier life style work for you. You've reached out & blogged & left goodies for those who either have supported you or have given them to you. But my question is, what is your reward to yourself once you reached goal? I LOVE Juicy Couture Perfume!! I would bath in it, if I didn't think I would offend people. emoticon So my gift to myself, is a jogging outfit in red, yes red!! Red is soooo my color, you know the ones that we see in Victoria Secret with the hoods & I'm gone look good in a perfect 6. What is your gift? What is motivating you to stay on this long journey to transform your mind body & soul?

Blessings,

Dee

My gift to myself is to wear this pair of black Calvin Klein jeans with a size 32 waist I have hanging in my closet. These jeans still have the tags on them. I want to be able to put them on without sucking in my gut and strut. emoticon

Hum...I don't think I really have one. So now you have me thinking! emoticon
Let's see, there is a pink and cream checkered dress (size 9) that I wore for Easter back in , um, 1997 or so. My now boyfriend saw me in that one and a burgundy dress (size 7) back then and thought I was soooo cute! Needly to say since we've gone out I can't fit either one! It would be nice to put them on again.

But I'm gonna think about something that I could actually buy...
I'll have to get back on that one. Thanks for the incentive!

November 1st

Saturday, November 01, 2008

So, its November 1st & Halloween wasn't as bad as it could've been for me. With the endless supplies of all types of treats & the rare occasion of tricks, I remembered our goals. So to me this is only the beginning of change for me. I ate more healthy foods yesterday than unhealthy. I have a bag of leftover sweets left but I stood on the scale & I haven't lost anything but then again, I haven't gained either. So I want to vow to recommit to my healthy goals & boost my physical endurance. I have been a lazy bum lately but have enjoyed the workouts that I have finished. I make everyday, a new beginning for me. What are your daily goals? I look forward to all comments!

Blessings,

Dee

What's A Perfect Size?

Monday, October 13, 2008

Where does the media get off saying that Cheryl Burton a perfect size 4 with a realistic (curvy) body that she's getting fat?! I love her body for her but if she's fat, then I must be obese?! I know I still carry many pounds around but the fact of the matter that we in America must become realistic with a size that will make us happy. I know I wouldn't mind being a size 6 but I'm cool with an 8. What's your perfect size?

Blessings!

I think thin is as beautiful as curvy. I know there are a lot of "curvy empowerment" women out there, but lets not forget the little guys born tiny with big hearts and minds too. They call me small yet mighty and I love my bony little bottom! I have been a size 6 with boobs but felt like I was walking too heavily for my taste and I've also been a size zero and felt oddly insubstantial. I sit right now at a 3. Mind you these are all according to American department stores whereas in Taiwan I'm considered a Medium instead of an extra small. And don't even get me started on the EU sizes and weight measurements they say what they are equivalent to in the US, and it never adds up. Numbers are just that. Numbers. Who really cares as long as your not a bitch. ;-)

The perfect size to me is a nine. I was a size nine and I liked my shape. I was curvaceous and fit. I won't want to get so skinny that I look under nourished or bony. I want to look healthy and stacked. (smile)

Lol, leave it to the media! I think they want all of us women to look like twelve year old boys!! So many little girls are worried about their weight these days and I blame a lot of that on the media! I'm deeply saddened and troubled by it! That being said, my average size is 3 because I am VERY small boned. Right now I am about a 5, and even though I look small, I also look soft. My fiancée works in the film industry and he's telling me that producers are starting to require actresses to gain weight! I'm so happy about that. I hope this boy thin craze passes soon! It's not even attractive! Curves are BEAUTIFUL!! It's what separates us from the boys, after all!

When I first starting losing weight (before sp) I wore a size 20. Now I am a 14 I am pleased but because of health reasons I have to keep losing. Not because I want to be a size 4 of 6. Shoot I was a size 10 when I first got married. But after kids etc I am near 50. I would be pleased with a size healthier. If it is a 10 or 12 I will be happy with that. America concentrates on the outwards appearance too much. We also should concentrate on the inside too. I have come across some beautiful people but when they opened their mouth they became UGLY! I would rather be a beauty within that seeps to the outward.

You have to be freaking kidding me that they said that!!!!! She is a FIT, FIT, FIT woman! I know that you guys have seen her dancing her @ss off on Dancing With the Stars!!!!! The people probably saying that she is fat are probably not happy with their size! This is teaching our daughters to hate their bodies. My seven year old was crying the other day and I asked her why and she replied,"Because my stomach is too big." I almost FAINTED. We have to watch what our girls hear. The media is ridiculous!!!!

The way that I am built, I think that I look my best at a size 4. I am a 6 now, but my belly/waist/whole midsection area needs LOTS of work!

I have no clue what my "perfect size" is, but currently a 8. I think a 4, for my height and frame, will be where I land. I'm the same height as Toni Braxton, 5'2" (but I think she's too skinny).

    Hey Dee,
I get really annoyed when the media starts going on about celebraties who have great figures, but the media say they are fat. No wonder there is so many adults and kids with eating disorders.

My ideal size would be ( UK) 8-10, thats what i was pre-babies.
