Go Hard or . . . .

Go light but just work it out! Oh did you think I was going to give an excuse not to workout because you aren't going hard? You know that ain't me! lol Since my neck is feeling better I have actually been able to do a few moves but I PROMISE you, they have been carefully calculated. lol

Today, I did walk the dog, did more walking, did 45mins of light weights & abs, did 20mins of glute work & will try to tie it all up with 30mins of kickboxing while watching my guilty pleasure:

I know, I know. . . . I am working on cutting back & trying studying the Word more & reading too. I hope you guys are doing something that's what counts. Small efforts will lead to big efforts.

    Girl that neck stuff is no joke. My neck keeps being creeky. I found out my shoulder has be be on the pillow too when sleeping. You may not have got 10 points on the spark wheel but Girl you are burning those fitness up. U Go Girl!!!!

Its Wednesday & boy oh boy did it come quickly. I went to Target & bought a sundress & earrings for Mother's Day. I will give them to my daughter & she will wrap them up for my boys so they feel like they bought mommy something she liked. lol

I have these by my side today, you want one. I also have my water & I'm 8 glasses strong so far. Where are you with your water & workouts?

My workout this morning was yoga, windmills with arms, I will do Kick, Punch & Crunch tonight. I am going to make it happen.

I am also dancing my Wednesday Happy Hump Day Dance. Won't you bust a move wit me?! lol

    Hey Dee,

I got myself a nice water bottle that holds 4 cups, I've drank 12 cups of water so, I'm good.

You are too funny with the Mommy shopping, good for you girl. I'm hanging in there on this hump day.....My week has been so busy. This week I've had the central air out, the electrician in and Taylor got her braces off yesterday. So tomorrow is round two with the electrician.

Oh yeah, I got 4.81 miles in today.

    My exercise today was running from event to event - lol - actually it was some ST here and there through the day. Water - plenty everyday - I don't drink too much else except water and hot tea. Oh yeah - i did do the happy dance with you too emoticon

What's Your Excuse. . . .

So I got up early & meditated & read the Word as I do on daily basis. I did my yoga & kickboxing workout, I'm getting my walking done in spurts here at work. Now my problem is, I ate cookies for breakfast! HUH! WHAT?! I know, I know, I finally got over the crook, it still aches but I can't go heavy on the weights yet but I'm doing well. So why for the life of me, did I buy the cookies & why did I have 2 Keebler Fudge Stripes for breakfast with a tall glass of milk? Yes, I do eat cereal for breakfast but I wanted cookies. So what was my excuse? Well I won't eat anything else for breakfast but then I gobble down 3 donut holes. YIKES! I did leave some in the box, okay but still. If I can exercise my mind & my body, why can't I for the life of me exercise self-control? I have pondered of this for the last couple of weeks. Some times I don't have to have anything sugary, then BAM! I load up on the sugary carbs. So my question to my Sparkfamily today, what is your excuse for over-indulgence or not working out?

Did you see that I did do 30mins of yoga & 50mins of Kickboxing & almost done with my 30mins of walking so does that justify me? NO!

    TOM- I want to eat everything in sight. I also get cravings for a sweet/salty mixture. It happens, just have to get over it. No one person is perfect all of the time.

    Sounds like me about once a week or two. But I would chose chocolate-dark if I can find it. Now I want a donut hole - haven't had one of those in years.

    I too get sugar cravings and I just give into them right then and there because if I don't I will just go way overboard at a later time. I find it's better for me that way. I don't feel guilty about it. I just continue on doing the next right thing. I am not perfect and I think that it's fine to indulge occasionally and it it's at 8 am - so be it.

You my friend, workout SO much, that if I were you, I wouldn't even think twice. But, we are all different. Hmmmmm - guess I'm not much help - huh????? lol

    Personally, I think it's FINE to have cookies for brekkie once in awhile. I had 1/2 a candy bar the other day because I was really craving it. I put the other half in my glove box of my car, for next time I have a craving. I am absolutely not forbidding any foods. I am so proud of you for how great you are doing!!!!!

    First I just want to say, congrats on being 11 pounds from your goal, that's FANTASTIC! It sounds like for the most part you stay on track, and sometimes it's okay to have a little extra.

This wasn't a binge though, you probably had a serving of each of those bad bad things. Would the old you have just had 2 cookies and 3 donut holes? Or would you have eating half the package and left no survivors in the box? Pay attention to your progress because it's great!

Don't get down on yourself, excuses happen. Tomorrow try and make sure to make something a bit healthier, maybe some cereal with blueberries instead of cookies and donuts :)

This is too funny but I grabbed my water as soon as I started watching this! Don't you wanna dance with me? I'm drinking 9-10 glasses daily. I'm up from 6 glasses last year. And I haven't completely given up soda but I am not buying my favorite anymore. . . .I want my water. How many glasses are you consuming?

Today, I am basically walking & doing body weight exercises like yoga. Nothing that involves me overworking my neck. Yes, I'm being very careful. I promise.

I know Wednesday we dance but I think we should hum or dance or both everyday!

    In January my son told me to drink a gallon of water/day to avoid torn muscles. I drink my gallon by 2pm daily and more when I work out. I can chug a quart at a time, something I never thought of when I began this weightloss journey. It really helps with cravings and intensifies the flavor of all foods. emoticon

So I am trying to figure out how I got this crook in my neck? I am been over & over & I've come to the conclusion that it was the way I slept on Saturday night. So its robbing me of full capacity workouts. I can slightly bob my head from side to side to my get up & go songs but I am some what sorta dancing. So even though I've been robbed I still have my health & I can workout a little so I did keep my sanity. . . . LOL

I can do a chair dance but that's about it. The crook isn't going to steal my joy!

    Boy oh boy, I know how you feel!! I am experiencing a sciatica and have for two weeks. I am chomping at the bit to exercise, but my body is saying no, no. I hurt in small ways before this but didn't know what it was. I ignored my pain and now this is the result. So my advise is rest, rest, don't push it before you are ready. I'm learning the hard way. Hope you recover speedily.

    I would question the attitude of joy when you are in pain. I would also take a look at perhaps some suppressed not so happy thoughts that may be surfacing in that pain and let it come to your conscious mind. The body speaks to us in painful ways when we avoid hearing ourselves.
