Soul Food Sunday. . . .

Hello Sparkfam! You know its Sunday & its been a very very busy weekend for me. I changed from Comcast to Directtv so we will see how that works. I also changed my internet & phone carrier to Clear. I pray it continues to work in the capacity that its working right now. You know how it always starts out strong signal & within 3months, bam it will be snail email. lol So I went to church & had a blast! I am still reeling from my spiritual interactions. Praise God! So you know I didn't get a chance to kill the cow yesterday, so I had to run out for a few groceries to cook on soul food Sunday. Today was baked salmon, baked chicken, asparagus, fried chicken, mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, carrots & candied sweet potatoes. So I am ready to la down!

It's Friday Sparkfamily so what are you doing?
Well me, I have to change over my internet & cable services. I have to take my son to his meeting about his college tour (he's a junior) coming at the end of this month. I have to go shopping & get that all taken care of by tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to see if I feel like cooking tomorrow night so I don't have to worry about Sunday afternoon cooking. So I'm tired already but it has to been done but I still just wanna sit down!

So Sunday I will celebrating with praise & worship with my family so that will wrap it up for me.

I pray you are all doing something nice. PS. This maybe the last time I use pictures for my blogs? I might to make some up myself. lol

Well it's 10:30 here and I'm having a tough time keeping my eyes open. I have four teenagers in my kitchen eating me out of house and home - which is just fine with me because at least i know where they are. No, that is NOT ME! LOL

I am a little hungry but I am working through it. I have a problem with food, I eat too much of it. lol Some times it might be funny but really its not. How much am I hurting myself & my family because of my addiction to food? If you are fit you know that you add months & years to life, so am I being selfish to my family because my affair with food? I've been selfish & greedy!

What's wrong with denying oneself not only for health purposes but also for a closer walk with the Lord? How did I find Sparkpeople? I wanted to change my overall health & By me fasting some of last week & this week & part of next week, it has opened my eyes that I have sinned against God. I put food in a place where God ought to be ever present in my life. So this fast is opening my mind right now, I am clearer than I have been in a very very long time. So I am going to put my faith into action & fast & pray & let God do it! Give Him Glory!!!

The battle is not mine its the Lord's but I have to step back & let Him work. Are you with me?

I am truly happy its Friday. I have waiting on this day since uhm? Monday?! lol I feel like doing a happy dance, why don't you join & shout, "Hurray!" I hope & pray you all do something nice & find time to do a few workouts.

Today, I am walking 60mins, abs 30mins, yoga 30mins, QFC 10mins & 30mins light weights. It may sound like a lot but when I spread it throughout my day, it works.
