Afraid of food. . .

So since my episode with food last week, I have scaled back big time to where I normally am. I had yogurt & cashews for breakfast, half of a cheeseburger & a few fries & dinner pb&j on honey wheat with broccoli & 1%milk. I know I know, the lunch was a bit much but I had a lapse in judgement. I will do better but I can't let go of my sweets. I'm working on it but I am so afraid of food that I don't wanna go near it considering the damage of last week. I still have not stood on the scale but I'm working up to it. lol

You are doing fine... I feel as long as you are following your program at least 80% of the time, the other 20 can be whatever you want... the other thing is that you exercise a lot so you are definitely going to off-set any over-indulgence... Keep making it happen Dee, you are doing .... Thanks for always being a constant source of motivation and inspiration ... ~ Dee ~ PS: ... sweets are my Achilles heel... I can't touch them, if I do, it's over... The only time I will have a sweet treat is if I am out with my son and we split a dessert over coffee and that is that... nothing comes home with me... I feel this way about 50% of the time and when I do i take serious inventory. For exmple, if i were in your shoes, I would ask myself why did I get myself access to a cheese burger and fries when I am already going threw a hard time. One of the first things i learned about food is NOT to give myself access meaning dont buy it at the grocery store, dont keep it in the house and always have a healthy snack on me so I dont have to stop anywhere. Planning is half the battle. now you can keep fun low fat, low cal snacks in your house like baked chips or weight watcher deserts and fun stuff but not the stuff that will blow your bank calories wise. think about it. you can do it. I can understand the fear of food because of past experiences with loosing control, but I decided that that's no way to live and I am choosing to change my relationship with food from being my adversary to being my partner, I have to eat to be alive but I choose for food not to be my life. So every conference we have a sit down eat & greet. I normally don't eat at these things cause of my Spark teachings. lol But this place was magically! If you have been to a place where the sights, sounds & smells bring you into focus, this would be my place. I sat down & decided to share a stripe steak with my G. she & I were not that hungry our side was au gratin potatoes. Jay, she had a angus burger with swiss cheese & fries, oh & she also had onion rings too. Well, Tom he order a tuna steak with 5 different dipping sauces. Cal, ordered some type of seafood soup, Bev, order this steak that marinated in Kona coffee. Go figure. But the talk of the night, was the Lobster mac & cheese! Now I don't eat lobster or shrimp or sushi but I tried that mac & cheese (hold the lobster) & it was unbelievable! If you have ever seen the movie "Like Water For Chocolate," this is how it was. We ate, we breathed, we couldn't believe the food! We couldn't stop eating even though we were full! I mean, it was incredible & I felt blessed to be able to be in this place at this appointed time to enjoy my friends & this fabulous food. I really missed you guys but I made the best of it & thank you all for your prayers, support & kindness!

So its Valentine's Day & this is one of the gifts I received which I
really am enjoying. I always say flowers are a waste of money but
I did love getting them. So did you give, get or what? I mean, you
don't have to wait until someone gives you something, you can
initiate the giving on your own.

I also got some pixies & if you've never had them, don't! lol
They are so gooey & delicious! I also got hugs, love & kisses, this
gift I will share with you cause you my sparkfamily!

Your flowers are beautiful, and you are right about not waiting to get before you give. It was a lovely day for me which began at church. No gifts were exchanged, but I truly didn't mind. Oh No Not More Snow . . .

No one is crying more than me about the snow. . . . I like it on the
weekends but not during the work week. When I woke up to find
the snow had fallen, so did I.

So what did I do after my initial shock?

Yes I got out there & had fun moving it to the side for the next coupla
of inches. Safe to say there will be more when I get home. So I did
turn that frown upside & added it to my exercises for today!


So everyone sing, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"
