I huff & puffed my way through the Day #1 of the 30Day Shred. I think its a great workout but you had better do something with that something else like kickboxing or walking/jogging.

So I woke up at 6am but couldn't do my workout cause my son Tristan was lying in my path. He likes to sleep in our room cause I keep my tv on until the wee hours in the morning. So I sat there in a delirious state cause I know I need to move my body. I was in a knot! So what did I do? I went to FitTv & saw that my blend of yoga, pilates & tai chi with 3lb weights would be on & I was excited!! I love this cause even though your are flowing & barely moving, I wasn't wet but I was getting moist. So its safe to say if the air wasn't blowing I probably would've been sweating more. LOL So I got in a nice a.m. workout & abs & finishing up my QFC & I'm done for the day! Tomorrow Cathe's Legs & Glutes on FitTv, why buy when I can watch them on cable.

I love the choices I have on Comcast's On Demand. I must say that I did do one yesterday that was absolutely pathetic but other than that I've been more with pleased. I'm with you - why buy when they are free plus they change them so I can try new and different things -which is good because I get bored so easily. you're not kidding. I saved a lot of money by using FitTV. Also, it gives me the chance to find out what I like AND change up when I am tired of a particular routine. I was checking out the programs you watch and found that they come on an hour later for me (booooo) So your 6 a.m. programs come on at 7 a.m. for me which is a bummer because I am already showered and dressed and on my way to work. I need to find something to capture my interest at 6 a.m. which would be your 5 a.m. Let me know the name of that program so I can search for it tomorrow morning. P.S. Good Sunday to You All!! For the few of you who don't know, I am a Chicago resident & love my city with its many flaws. Today I am speaking another positive note & that's the 51st Annual Air & Water Show!


I love the excitement of seeing the kids excited & the thrills of all the twist & turns of the planes & boats! I only watch from a distance as I am not a huge fan of tripping over people or being too close. Its something to see!

The Chicago Air & Water Show, originating in 1959, is Chicago's second most popular festival.[1] In 2005, 2,200,000 watched the Chicago Air and Water Show. Strong in tradition and one of the world's premier aviation events, the show also includes a wide array of military and civilian acts. It is the largest free show of its kind.


There are daredevil pilots, parachute teams, and jets flying in formation, as well as a water-skiing and boat-jumping component for additional thrills. The great thing about this festival is that it's visible from almost everywhere along the Chicago lakefront. Grandstand seats for the water show are located at North Avenue Beach, but some of the best viewing points are farther north, at Montrose Harbor and between Belmont and Addison.

Many of the Air Show performers base their operations at Chicago's third airport, the Gary/Chicago International Airport in nearby Gary, Indiana. Each year the U.S. Army Golden Knights and biennially the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline the show. The air show features the best civilian and military pilots displaying their flying skills to a delighted spectators. Straight from Wikipedia okay but it gives you the 4-1-1 that I just can't seem to describe!
