Good Day Sparkfam! It has been a wonderful Sunday here in Chicago. The weather was beautiful, made it to my Thirst Quenchers Class at church but there were a few detours but made it nonetheless. Church was off the hook but I am still feeling the fire burn. I pray you all are enjoying your weekend but it has to come to an end.....but guess what? Stay tuned cause there will be another coming up oh in about 5 days....lol
We are on our way out to dinner to the www.wildfire.com which is in Oak Brook. I already baked chicken & made baked macaroni & cheese with bacon. That will be our back up with some baked sweet potatoes with cinnamon & butter. YUMMY! I am holding out for a dinner prepared by someone else....

It's been a minute but I do want you guys to know all is well with me. I have been logging but I can't seem to blog if I use the privacy feature that I have on google. Anywho, I pray all is well with you guys & I am just enjoying the calm yesterday the winds whipped at high speed. Had my hair whipped all around my face & you know I don't wear hats unless its in the low 20s or teens but I should've had one on yesterday. Paper is everywhere, I had a ladies meeting for the Jewels in His Crown group at our church's corporate office. I really enjoy myself & the theme of course was sweets. I bought, Kimberley's triple chocolate & red velvet cupcakes. The pic is shown below. Let me tell you I didn't taste them last night but today is my good friend & co-workers b'day so I bought them again. I tried & it was dreamy, do I want another one? NO! Not at 370 calories & 180calories from fat. HELLO!! UGH!! See my title. lol
So tonight will be 20mins of step aerobics, 30mins of weights & maybe if I am good then I can have 30mins on the dreadmill.....UGH! HELP!
I am so enjoy February & the fast for 21days for spiritual reasons really taught me how to really put foods into their place. You eat to live not the live to eat. Yes we can have indulgences but also have to be mindful of how much & when we do indulge.
Good Monday Sparkfam! It is a frigid day of 15degrees & I had to turn down coffee. Never fear I didn't need it anyway. Our heat is out in the office, its a cold 57degrees & I am FREEEZZZIIINNNGGG today! Chin up, I didn't leave once I got here & I got my heater on which is only warming my legs. My fingers as I type are getting a little numb but I press on... lol These aren't the worst conditions as a matter of fact there are worst. I know I don't even have to tell what they are & I know I am blessed because of them all!
So I did the dreadmill this morning & hoping to get a few free weight reps in before I get stuck to the trap that is the boob tube. lol It sucks you right in let me tell you if you don't already know.
What is on your agenda for the rest of your life? I would like to own my own truck & be able to be financially set till I go live with one of my kids...haha I can see that one get shot down from here. lol Go traveling or even volunteer in another country......WOW myself! Get busy living cause you are only living to die. Why not enjoy life along the way with your loved ones & even complete strangers.... It takes more muscles to frown that to share a smile...
You'd think I was out partying with all the guacamole & pico de gallo & salsa I've been eating. I have been trying to keep it more daniel day but without meats. It is kinda hard but I'm pressing. I pray you are all having a great hump day as I a ready for a nap. I'm not eating but I am watching Not Your Mama's Cooking with Bobby Dean. Even though he is making some mango slider burgers I am never curious as to how they taste. I just like looking for newer spices & ways to cook food for my fam. I made turkey lasagna simmering the turkey after it cooked in sweet wine. It had such a beautiful taste! I am not getting big workouts in but in a few weeks I will be able to go full on back to 45-60mins of cardio. I can wait though....lol
So I am getting the year started off semi putting my money where my mouth is & opened another savings account to do the $1 then add a $1 plus each week. I had $25 so I guess you would say I am set for the month but NOOOOOO... I am thinking of putting another $25 in there right now..lol
I do want take the slow & steady route as with getting more workouts in & eating better. I also desire to take the road less traveled which is a slightly less popular route let me tell you. I rarely see many people I know on it but I am encouraged from you all Sparkfam!
Walked for 45min now I am trying wrapped my head around 40mins of boot camp. Back in the day, that used to be a teaser for me now it takes everything I have to get it in....ugh! lol
So let's really dig deeper and the most you can ever do is a little bit better than the best you can....
