Good Thursday Sparkfam! Well it's a windy but mild day here in Chicago. I have my heat on & I am trying to keep it low but some of these nights an extra blanket just didn't cut it. I am off tomorrow for a girls weekend to Atlanta with my best bud my darling daughter. We just need to spend time together & just enjoy this time now while we have it. I have been running around like a chicken with her head cut off! Still got a few more runs to make. So my men folk will be here to fend for themselves but the only thing I am worried about is tissue...lol

Since I am traveling my time on Spark maybe short. I will be taking my tablet but I HATE trying to do it on my cell or tablet its way to slow!

    Hope you enjoy the warmer climate. It is definitely a beautiful time here in the south.
Know what you mean about the tablet and in my case a kindle fire. It just takes too long to do much typing on them. emoticon

Good Thursday Sparkfam!! Its a gorgeous day here in Chicago! I am just looking at that blue sky & wondering how you guys are doing? What are you doing for you today? Is there a "wrong" person in your life that is peddling the "wrong" foods to you every chance you get? Possible thrawting your attempts at losing weight & keeping it off?? Well I must I am so strong willed that the "wrong" person is me! I need to put on the back burner & put my health on the front one.

Today, I am walking & doing the treadmill for 30mins. I also need to finish up my Boot Camp that I didn't start yesterday waiting on the alarm system to show but never did....YIKES!!

    A little of both for me, I have been slipping on choosing Healthy foods b/c we have been invited to a lot of dinner party's , and then my girlfriends want to do lunch or dinner and then they choose the not Healthy food and I tend to follow emoticon doing better this week! My Son Attempts To Get Me Off Track But I'm So Focused Now And Making The Progress I So Desire I'm Not Listening To Him. He's 22 And Small. He CAN And Does Eat Anything He Wants. A Lot of Junk And SUGAR on Sugar! lol. When I Used To Cook Spaghetti HIS Way I Would Add A Lot Of Sugar. But He Would Add MORE. smh emoticon Today I Did My Cardio Dancing And My New Video That I've Been Ding Since Sunday By Tiffany Rothe I Found On YouTube A Core Dancing 10 Min Video. That Was 40 Mins And 12 Mins Of Stretching. I Went For A Walk 55 Mins And Later I'm Going To Do Some Lower Body And Core Videos From Spark 30 MIns. So Glad I'm A Habitual Exercise! Praise The Lord!

It Ain't Easy....

Good Saturday Sparkfam!! Its a brisk day here in Chicago & I've already walked Shadow, dropped son off at school & made breakfast. I've almost finished Sparkin, now I need to make my bed & do my workout. I didn't get to the grocery store but it's no biggie. My niece just got out of the hospital with a bout to pneumonia & will visit her this evening....I am trying to not to make my workouts seem hard but light as a feather. But deep in my heart, I know it ain't easy to shape this body into the reality that she can be..

My workout out today will include more walking, upper body & step aerobics.

    As Much As I Watch My Friend Feed I Missed Both Of Your Newer Blogs. I Didn't See Them Until I Came To Your Page. You Always Get Your Workouts In. Tearing It Up. Busy Bee! emoticon ! I Heard About That Cold Weather There And On Saturday I Went For A Walk(Actually To The Dollar General) In 54 Degree Weather. I Had On A Hat, Gloves And A Coat Over My Clothes. I Actually Smiled As I Walked Because I Didn't Make An Excuse Because It Dropped 40 Degrees. Maybe A Little Less lol. Then I Finished Out With Strength Training. I'm So Happy To Have This As A Habit! I Do Get A Lot Of Inspiration From You. You Know How To Get Yours Done. Thank You For Keeping Me Motivated!

When It's Your Time....

Good Thursday Sparkfam! It was a beautiful 76degree day here in Chicago, sun shining and a gentle breeze blowing through my hair. That was this morning, by the time I left work to go to my sons' after school choir activity it was drizzling. Then by the time we left his school it was coming down. Of course the temps dropped some 15degrees & once inside the house the rain stopped. UGH!!

So this morning I made time for myself with doing some time on the dreadmill & spend some time doing step aerobics this time was for me. But I wanted to come home & do some kickboxing but I just had my dinner & went upstairs put on my workout gear & went to sleep. I woke up just in time to watch Grey's Anatomy & Scandal which are my guilty pleasures...Tomorrow is another day & I WON'T let sleepiness get in my way....

So what do you give up to workout when it's your gym/workout time?

    I Think I Turn A Favorite Show Off To Get It In. Or I Wake Up Earlier So Give Up Sleep To Workout. I Make It A Point To Workout Every Day In Some Way And It Makes Me Feel Good To JUST DO IT! Such An Important Part of My Progress. It's Not "Man I Got To Workout!" It's Oh Boy What Will I Do Today For My Workout Time! Loving To Work It Out! Thanks For Sharing Sis!

    I give up my t.v. time to workout. I try to workout in the mornings, but that's not always possible. So when I get home from work I have to workout, which means no t.v. You are doing great! Have an awesome weekend! emoticon

    I give up TV and old-fashioned mealtime. I record the shows I want to watch and grab a snack before workout and another after workout. Forcing the exercise was a great way to learn that I can live without television and structured meals! I watch my favorite shows on Netflix on the weekends.

Way to go on your morning workout and taking some ME time!

Good Bye September

Good night September....this summer flew by & now it's already fall. So as I embrace October I have to cry a few tears for September. I could've done more work but this month has made me a sleepy momma....my plans for October:

1. Work my way to working out for 120mins per day. Walking not included
2. Eat more veggies..I seem to do well with fruits but its getting in vegs
3. Drink more water
4. Set a goal to lose 10lbs by the end of the month
5. Spend more time reading Bible spend more time with the family

What are you plans for October? Weight Watchers & Spark feel it is important that we spend more energy on short term goals to feel like we are achieving more goals. I think that is key to improving a healthier lifestyle..

You know I could hardly believe that I haven't blogged since August 31st?! WOW! I have been out of touch but you guys know I am always around trying to spread the Spark! Tonight's dinner, beef short ribs, baked chicken (a MUST HAVE), spaghetti with turkey sausage, sweet potatoes, greens, corn bread & mixed veggies...It was all really good wish there was smell/taste-a-vision...LMBO!

    Like your goals and like you I almost shed a tear as September passed away to October. I still feel as though there is so much more I could have done last month. Before long it will be too cold to do a lot outside and I will be house bound. There always new projects to get started on.

That's a lot of minutes per day. Ok, I'm staying out of your business...for now! emoticon

You have some great goals. I'm going to pray about my goals for October. I got 3lbs off in September thus far so I'll weigh myself tomorrow to see if I lost 5 lbs today.
emoticon I had to take rest days otherwise I think my fitness minutes and weight loss by name would have been different. We're on a 40 day Fasting and Prayer Season until the election at my Church. Fasting is whatever way God leads you, not necessarily food. It started on Friday. I have been fasting lunch which is messing up my nutrition tracker! emoticon I've been moved to fast sugar free gum. I eat a pack a day if I have it. I look for it in my drawers and purses lol. So YES that's what I'm fasting. And my facebook time. I've been doing good but I need to do better. But I'm going long on your blog and I don't want to do that. Kind of like how I write...Long Winded! emoticon
