Hi Sparkfam! I just wanted to blog cause I see everyone is having such inspirational blogs. I mean, I have lost 2lbs this week & lost 3lbs last week so this thing is shaping up nicely. I do however need to get my workouts back on track. I have been kinda slow with my workouts but want to have the drive I had 6months ago. Yesterday I did have a hamburger & fries for lunch & then had grilled steak, salmon & potato & green beans. My hubs felt like grilling. He inquired about the steaks at Walmart because of the commercial but I don't do steak from them. I normally go to Jewel because I like their cuts of beef. They also had a slice of salmon that looked delectable. I got off early so I did my groceries yesterday. Came home put them away, then washed dishes. When he came through the door I seasoned the meat for grilling. I had a few packets of already put together seasonings. So after I put the olive oil on the meat, I seasoned it with one of the packets I had. Then I put on salt, pepper & soy sauce. On the salmon I put a terriyaki marinade with red pepper flakes. He was out there 20mins & came back with the steaks & salmon. Let me tell you fam, I felt like I was I was in a grade A eatery. I cooked the potato & green beans & dinner was served. It was phenomenal! That's what happens when we do it together. The enthusiasms is definitely there & I want to expand on that.
Good Tuesday Sparkfam!! It's the end of my staycation. Yesterday we had a good time in downtown Chicago. We went to Lou Mitchells one of Chicago's famous eateries:

We all had coffee except for my oldest son & he had his first taste of freshly squeezed pulpy sour oranges juice! lol He wasn't pleased.
We actually even talked to us. You know how kids are connected to their phones & ipad thingys but we had a good breakfast that I didn't have to cook.
We drove around & decided to go to Sears (Willis) Tower to take the tour:

We stood in at least 7-10 long lines & then had to watch an educational movie. UGH!!
View from a ledge. There are several glass ledges that you can stand in line to stand on. Its like you are standing in mid air. My kids & hubs took great pics & I put my sandal out there. Did I tell you that this is my first time there. I driven by & even parked there & waited for my mom as that was her bank. She worked at one of the area branches til she retired. Bless her heart. Okay & then there was a gift shop at the top. We looked & we bought 3 things that totalled $14. Then we had to waited in another line to go down. I felt dizzy by the time we hit the bottom. Then we had to go through 2-3 more gift shops, we spent another $25 there on small trinkets.
I got home & took an aspirin as I was just dizzy. I ate a little something & felt better by night fall. It rained cats & dogs this morning so today was an inny no outings. I pray you all had a great Monday!

Today's workout was tae bo with Billy & my legs & hips are buzzing. I would like to get on the treadmill but hubs wants to go to the movies....UGH!! I will have to see but this is our anniversary week & we have been trying to put more time in to show I am ALL in. lol
Good Friday Sparkfam!! It's a rainy Friday here in Chicago but I did want to go to the Taste of Chicago. This is for the sake of my hubs. I don't taste much except McDonald Fries & these Cajun Cheese Fries & I'm done. lol
I am good after my fall but it was probably more a metaphor for my mind than for my body. Definitely brought me back to earth as I was getting full of myself. How? Long story just believe me when I tell you this was happening to me. lol
I got some great workouts in this week but today, I slept til almost 9am & then I wanted to take a vacation day. No I didn't do it I came in late but all is forgiven as I am still here & not a breathing soul is here with me. lol So are you working or hardly working? I'm trying to mix it up but sometimes it ain't easy getting all that done & still be energized. UGH!!

I ordered these last week while I was out of the office. I got to the office & WHAM!! I had little goodies on my desk! So I opened them up & put these puppies on wore them around the office. I wore them all day & then as I was making my last rounds before I left, I fell!
Not on my bottom but face first. My knees, hands, side & back ache a little but I will get my behind up there on the treadmill & walk. I was going to do weights but I had better do push ups & dips. Tomorrow I know I will have soreness but I won't let it keep me from doing what is necessary. I didn't have much junk today so I won't have to walk/job for hours & hours. lol I am injured in anyway but I don't wanna turn anything in the wrong direction so that I do hurt myself. But I laughed & giggle for about 15mins because I couldn't believe I, ME, I did that! I have been walking in heels forEVER! lol I looked around of course & noone SAW me but they heard me make all that noise from trying to keep myself from falling. lol I'm still giggling.....
So I am keeping the shoes & I also got a red dress to wear with for my 17th Anniversary. My hubs mouth will be on the floor. Thank you Sparkfam & Sparkpeople for helping make my mouth behave. lol
Now what won't you let keep you for eating healthier or getting in 20-45mins of fitness on most days.
