For Sparkpoints that is..lol

Actually trying to reel myself in from weekend eating, I did alright on Saturday & Sunday but yesterday I ate quite a few rib tips....so here goes...

breakfast: bowl of cereal
Lunch: vanilla oreo cookies with milk, spaghetti & slice of bread & salad
Snack: vanilla oreo cookies with milk & yogurt
Dinner: left over bbq I think or pb&j
After: banana strawberries

Eat to live or live to eat?

Eat to live used to be my mottto. Now its changed as we have been foodies & enjoying good meals in abundance without workouts or after dinner walks. Now let's get out there & get moving tonight....WOOHOO!!

    I am rejoining the BLC. working on my food problems. I have elevated cholesterol along with other struggles but I will find a way to get this stuff down. PB and diabetes is doing well. I am incorpatoing HITT Work outs and stressing weights. Restarting some cal cycling,.

    Baby Girl,
Good to hear from you! I plan to get in 2 workouts on the days I workout. 4-5 days per week. I plan to run at lunch time and do something when I get home, like the elliptical machine or go for a bike ride outside. On the weekends, I have worked up to 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of weight training.

You are doing great! Keep motivating the spark family to keep moving.

A Day at the Beach...

Good Thursday Sparkfam! Waking up early since my grand babies spent the night over. We are having a ball just spending time together. We went to the beach yesterday & I am not one who takes the bus with 2 little ones. My oldest grandson found a friend as he always does to play tag & splash with. My grand baby the youngest is sipping the water which is disgusting! Funny too he is also 30lbs and I had to tear him away in tears screaming trying to console him with nursery rhymes... we had a ball I used to drive down there just to watch the tide and just ponder future me.....

Today, let's try to remember our fun days at the park, beach, zoo or day trip in the car that made our summers emoticon. Then take a walk down our minds in time & celebrate God for giving us those times & virtual hug all those that took part in those times... I'm swelling up inside for those that I've lost but relish the times spent. I'd forgot I promise not to fret the small or big stuff. I want you to do the same.

    I love the beach, too. Lived in VA where the beach was my front yard for 7 years. ! loved the paintings' GOD created daily in the sky and ocean front! No two days were ever the same! All was uniquely created by HIM.

  When we were kids, we would drive up to a lake. I was my mother, my aunt, her three kids, my brothers, and me. We would take two cars, and I would ride shotgun for my aunt. Since my mother knew the way, my aunt followed. Unfortunately for my Aunt Toni, Mom had a lead foot and was always leaving her in a trail of dust. As she struggled to keep up, my aunt would mutter "that damned Isabell". Wonderful memories.

My mother has been gone 42 years and my aunt 14 years. Sigh.

Happy Sunday Sparkfam!! Enjoying a restful Sunday praying for calmness in my everything. I am a person who loves to take care of others but I am focusing on myself. Some times we need to be selfish. Like a flight attendant once said, we must put on our own life preserver before we put on that of our children. Who will take care of your children should you drown. So please take care of you today. Then we could use the energy we store today for the rest of the week.

What exercise do you love & Why?

Good afternoon Sparkfam! Just sitting here waiting on 5:30 but I also wanted to Spark before I left. I need your help in finding different ways to find fitness. I do move around walking at work all the time trying to take the stairs but I also have become complacent. I want to share a few of my favorite workouts.

Here are my favs and why?

There is no equipment needed and you can swing all day long at the air and it's healthy not only for weight loss but its a great stress reducer.

Not only tones muscles but it also a great stress reducer and helps your blood pressure.

What are some of your favs? Please share I am looking to get into to spinning but I don't even bike ride anymore. I used to love it so much. I need to get back on that horse. Join me anyone..... you're never too big, too sophisticated or too old either. Let's move our bodies they deserve it and so do we.

    My favorite exercise is Dancing. I do it to my own playlist which makes it more enjoyable. My second favorite is walking because you can do it anywhere and it's so easy to just start. I also like strength training with resistance bands. It's not as hard on my arms as the hand weights but I use them sometimes. I really enjoy kickboxing too but haven't did it much lately. Those 10min ones by Coach Nicole are some great ones for a quick burn. Thanks for the question! emoticon

    emoticon My fave is walking, but I do a variety of things too. My elliptical love it, ride my bike. Hiking again, gardening. I still need to work on my strength, getting better. emoticon
