Happy Monday!!!

Monday, April 14, 2014

I was really feeling like this this morning. After a great birthday weekend with bowling & good food and family time, I chipped a tooth. If anybody has every had one, you know that if the chip part is by your tongue, well let me just say, soft foods are preferable. lol I made it to work but I was really dragging. On my way, I stopped grabbed a breakfast sandwich, drop $$ off at bank & then got gas. Got on e-way, even with rain it was a straight shot. Wasn't as late as I thought I would be.

This week, there are so many things going on at churches. This year, for some reason, my boss is not giving us half a day. No worries, I took half & I will be going to church with my daughter and grand kids. My youngest grandson just clings to me like I might disappear. Glad someone is anxious to see me....lol

I am walking to day & going to try to put in some weight work. With the grand baby on foot, I have to watch him because he got mad courage & loves coming to the top of stairs calling out to our dog Shadow. Thank God Shadow makes him thinks he chasing him! That saved us a trip to the hospital & a long talk with family & children services....no kidding.

I pray you all have a wonderful & blessed week! I know it's Monday but if you're wishing Monday will end, soon you'll be older than you want to be. Enjoy the journey & the ride. Have the time of your life in all good fun. Spare another persons' feeling and give them a huge. His eyes are on the sparrow so best believe He's watching you & me... A little poetry there but you know it's true.

These are random thoughts I wanted to share. My birthday weekend is over, had a blast bowling but carrying my 28lb grandson around in his carrier has strained my upper arms & back. My oldest grandson, who shares my birthday with me, is semi-happy, youngest son is overly happy with his online purchase & chase he received. Which just goes to show you can't please all the people all of the time...

God bless & keep you all!!

Love,

Dee

Happy belated Birthday to you, Dee!

Your blog is a very enjoyable look into your day & the past weekend.

I have learned that wishing away any day is not wise to do. How many days would we so enjoy revisiting, if only we could? Even a cold & wet work Monday in 2014, might look so inviting for such a revisit come 2036. That is if our Lord Jesus hasn't returned by then! emoticon

God bless the rest of your week with many wonderful memories to store away & pull out when needed!

Good Day Sparkfam!! It's a beautiful day here in Chicago which made it equally hard to come to work.... I made it in and a few minutes to spare but I want to get here an hour earlier so that I can leave earlier. We have moved and it's just make my evening commute the worst!! I am grateful & SOOO blessed beyond measure to have this job!! They are so versatile and this is my dream job without the dream salary. It's either one or the other but before the bottom fell out my salary & bonuses were extremely nice. So it is what it is basically.

Here is my healthier snack treats suggestion:

These little puppies are so good!!! And guess what else?!! I can't stand dark chocolate! Seriously, I was watching Single Ladies and they were sharing them. They kept snatching the bag from one another so I saw & said why not? Boy am I glad I did and I shared them a few of my friends and they were glad I did. I am a very picky eater so this is another surprise. I don't crave chocolate often but I will measure out 16pcs which is the limit for me to keep on my person. Like my tub of yogurt I keep in my purse with juice & water. I have been craving soda lately so I have been buying the Kool Aid Jammers to try to fool myself. Not working really well but I'm reaching more for those than the soda.

I have probably lost 3lbs but I got plenty more to go....So I'm trying to watch my snacks but I need to also concentrate on my meals too.

God bless Sparkfam!!!

Smooches!

Thank you for sharing the snack treat. I wondered about them. My snack treat is usually an iced coffee decaff with sugar free caramel flavoring made from home.

For dessert type treats I really like skinny cow fudge bars. Such a big serving for 100 calories. I also like frozen fruit bars, popcorn, sugar free pudding, life savers, a sliced apple sprinkled with cinnamon and cooked for a few min in the microwave is like apple pie, or a sliced banana lightly drizzled with chocolate syrup and a big scoop of whip cream is like a banana split.

God is Good!

Sunday, March 30, 2014

So I haven't posted in a while even though I Spark almost everyday. I just have been trying to listen and be quiet. A leader of my church group said I speak my mind too much, that is because for so long I have had others shove their brand of thinking down my throat that at a certain point I have to get my point across as well.....

Well, my 1999 Ford Expedition has been acting up but I have been doing everything but giving her mouth to mouth resuscitation!!! lol Yeah, its that serious, I really love/loved that truck. It's still sitting out front, I'm just wondering should I get a new engine for her? She starts up but the sounds coming out of her make me want to give her rest but she's got another 50,000 miles left in her at least?!! So I have been renting cars for the last week & a half and let's just say, it ain't cheap!!! Yesterday me, hubby & my youngest went out looking, just to look at cars. I had my heart set on this 2005 Infiniti beautiful car but the title had been rebuilt meaning she was in a wreck. UGH!!! Well we cruised on & found a 2008 Infinite powder blue & very low miles and I got to test drive her. She almost had my heart till they said, it's $15,800! So I waved goodbye, we went to Aurora Honda where I saw they had a 2009 Hyundai Genesis on the lot. The asking price was $13,995, I saw almost the exact same one for $16,995 so I knew it was definitely a deal. My hubby tried to do everything but they wouldn't budge at all. I have never been to a dealership where they never budged at all. We test drove it & it was great!! My hubby who DID NOT like the car was over the moon with all the accessories! MEN! They love toys gadgets & what nots and gidgets and gadgets galore. So needless to say, I am now the owner of this beautiful car. I still miss my truck but not putting gas into her. She needed a rest but still thinking of what to do with her? Here are picks of my new blessing that God gave me:

This not an actual pic but I was just a little excited. Its not brand new but with the new business just getting out the gate, I didn't want a semi truck tractor note and a huge luxury car note. In the future I still plan to either get a 2015 Hyundai Genesis or 2015 Dodge Durango/Jeep Grand Cherokee..... What are you grateful for these days?! Health definitely!!

I am doing ok on my workouts but not as much as I planned. I have my grandson most nights so it's like having a baby all over again. So he will be a year in May he is getting better each month. But he hates when he can't see you or be near you. I am trying to get in as much as possible on weekends & at work. How are you guys doing with the summer fastly approaching???

God bless & think healthy!!

Dee

CHURCH FOLK always trying to change who God made us to be. NOTICE I SAID CHURCH FOLK?????God made us all different. He is the only who can make us into what he wants us to be NOT CHURCH FOLK! Those folk need to work on themselves. I was a very quiet girl. I still have my moments but now that I have found my voice in Christ I refuse to hush about his love and grace. I found my voice in him. emoticon nice ride bt the way.

At my age it's hard to have children around for extended periods. Sure with my life experiences I have learned tons of patience and that the children are worth every moment I am able to give them. I also know certain things I want to get done will wait. You'll fit in pushups and bicycle crunches while you are down on the floor with the little one. Or do squats. Every minute counts.

Love you!

My blessings that is... Are you?

Have you?

Not days to Christmas.....

We are His children rich...believe

So when you are opening Christmas gifts don't worry how much this or that costs? Or whether there was much thought and be grateful for the giver....

I enjoyed reading this blog --- it is a super reminder of just how blessed we are. I have heard it said that the poorest in this United States would be considered rich beyond words by most others on plant earth.

May God bless you & provide you with all your needs (that is a promise He has given those who are His) & some of your wants & even a few of your "greeds"!

Dee, YOU are one of the blessings in my life, even though we don't get to see each other nearly as often as I'd like. Merry Christmas (it really is 12 days long, & this is only the 7th day! emoticon emoticon ) & happy new year on this snowy January 1! emoticon Is your grandson old enough to have fun in the snow yet?

May you continue to have eyes to see your blessings in 2014, & may you always be wrapped in God's love. emoticon
