Zumba Fitness

Saturday, April 28, 2012

Recently (past 2 months) I have entered a Zumba class where we meet every Tuesday and Thursday and Mondays also if we like. Then on opposite days I do strength training. Zumba has made working out fun. Someone said to me, "anyone can dance at home" but really, who enjoys dancing alone? With kids, yes, occasionally by yourself and what happens? When you get tired, you stop. Having others around keeps you honest, you give it more energy and you don't just quit when it gets tough. I have even made Gym friends. That is another healthy motivational way I have found losing weight to be fun. Not all serious. Anyhow, just thought I'd share! Should redeem success!

I am addicted to doing Zumba almost everyday. I have to force myself to take a day off just to rest my knee since I have chondromalacia. It is so much better doing it with others even though it is good to have the DVDs as backup when you need to miss a class or want to get a better understanding of the steps. emoticon

You probably wouldn't do all the moves that they incorporate into Zumba at home. It's alot of fun. Tried it for the first time last night. It won't be my last time either.

A new beginning...all over again. For the last time!

Sunday, March 15, 2009

I have not been on here in over a year. I am comitted to losing some of this weight fast! I cant stand it. My body aches, I dont have energy and I feel like all my pores are clogged. I feel better about myself when I am healthier too. Not as depressed and not as moody. I sleep better at night and I enjoy things in life to the fullest when I dont have to spend my time being self concious about how I look. I want this so bad. And I dont want to fail this. I owe it to myself, my husband and my son.

My progress after 2 weeks...

Thursday, March 01, 2007

I still feel great! I have lost 9 pounds in those 2 weeks. I'm not worried that I lost too much too soon because it is the beginning and I had a lot of water weight to get rid of. Also, I have been eating within my calorie rang and only 2 different days did I hit the limit, the rest were well within and on the lower side.

This whole thing is really going to work for me. I have a goal to be 152 pounds by March 15th and I'm already 158, I am certain I can pull it off!

Everyone on here is really motivating me and being really supportive.

I am a big fan of the 20+ pounds to lose support group, you will find that I post a lot of comments in there! I am making friends and finding people that I can motivate and figuring out who best motivates me!

I am going to try to stay focused and I will post again next week with some more good results I hope!

The Beginning

Thursday, February 15, 2007

Well, I am on day two and I am pretty motivated at this point. My husband is supportive of me watching what I eat. I still can eat whatever I want, I just have to be more careful of "how much" I eat. I have realized after just one day that on an average day I was eating over 3,000 calories...and I wasnt pigging out either, but I was eating too many sweets which adds up the calories. I can feed the same craving on something much lower in calories. Considering that I dont burn nearly enough, I shouldnt be eating that much.

So a change of habbit wont hurt anything at all...I just have to be more observant. And to tell you the truth, I'm surprised at how easy this is, and how motivating it is and I feel so cleen after just one day of eating well. I feel great today, and I am not starving or craving anything at all! YAY FOR ME!!

Please help me motivate myself, and I will do the same for you! Thanks guys!
