Haven't been blogging or being on sparkpeople as much as I would have liked but that changed a couple of weeks ago. I was gaining too much weight. Weight that I know was not only baby weight. Having my BP a little high at my last doctor's appointment was a huge wake up call for me. For the past two weeks I have been eating healthy and exercising. I have been eating tons of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. I also have been walking a lot and doing prenatal DVDs. I have so much energy now and feel good that I am living this lifestyle for me and my baby. I want her to be a healthy baby, kid and adult.
Also finished my babys heirloom blanket. Took me a while to complete and my hands cramped up at times from the tiny needle and thread but it will be all worth it when she comes home wrapped around in it :)
For so many years I have been sewing, crocheting, knitting and doing every other craft for my friends and family members baby's. I finally get to sew for myself :) I completed the Kimono Sleeping Sack and still can't believe I get to keep it for my baby :) This will be the first of many, many projects :)
So my original plan was to lose 100 pounds before trying IVF. I was told to get down to 250 before I could even try but wanted to go down further with 100 pounds lost. Plans changed when my husband got a better job but with different health insurance. His plan at his old job had great infertility coverage. So good that all we had to pay was co-pays. If anyone has been through IVF you know how expensive it can be.
80 pounds down my BMI was low enough for me to get the OK. My doctors were proud of me with my weight-loss and was really pulling for me to get pregnant.
My first IVF was a success! I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. I saw my little bean on Monday during my first utrasound. It is by far the most amazing day of my life! :)
Thanks to all my spark buddies who have been through my weight-loss and ttc journey with me. Thanks for all the positive vibes, thoughts, and baby dust. An extra thanks to my two best buddies Keli and Jennifer! :)
