Sorry everyone I am going back to the southbeach diet I can lose the weight have did it before and lost it quickly. I will be back when I am at my goal weight I do not have time to wait to lose 2lbs or less a week I tried it for months now. So I will be back and go to this diet again see ya all in three months when I am at 130lbs.

    good luck to you, hope this plan works for you, even in the long run. you have to do what is best for you, i'm 1000% positive that Spark People will be here when you decide to come back and welcome you with open arms.

    Hey, I follow South Beach. I lost 80 lbs doing South Beach and have pretty much kept it off. I am starting phase 1 again, trying to get myself back on track. I like south beach. I don't think it's a fad diet either. I think it's a smart and healthy way to eat. People do all kinds of different diets on here or ways of life on here.
I've done South Beach and utilized Sparkpeople for almost 2 years. You can totally do both. I use sparkpeople for the support and motivation. I find that blogging helps me sort out my feelings.
I do understand and will tell you that you should most definitely do what's best for you.

    I agree with everyone that you should do what's best for you, but don't leave sparkpeople. I don't follow the diet plan, but I use the calorie, fat, protein, carb,etc guideline. You can also adjust it as you wish. I've tried using the weight watchers principal and southbeach in the past stayed on spark tracking what I ate and my exercises

My only question for you is: Will you eat like the south beach recommends for life or would you rather learn to enjoy the things you love in moderation and prepared more healthly? Wishing you lots of luck on whatever you decide. We are here to support you. Be Blessed

    Do what you feel is best for you, I would hate to see you go. There's such a strong support system here, people that care about helping you reach your goals. I know several people who love South Beach. It's not a good program for me but if it's good for you then that's all that matters. Only you can decide what is best. I've been on SP for 3 years and am not at goal weight. I also do not follow their guidelines. I'm here to use the support. I have learned so much on this journey and my eating has improved so much! I eat a really clean diet now, I exercise regularly and although I don't lose weight very fast, I drop inches like a mad woman! In the end, that's what matters because I know that's all the fat melting away! Good luck

    I probably will stay on here just not follow their guidelines because it is not working at all and I do not have much time. I did use the southbeach diet and I kept the weight off for 3 years or so. Then I dated a guy that owned a pizza shop and well you can guess what happened I was not watching what I was eating so really it is not a fad diet. I lost 50lbs in 4 months last time so I have to get this done and the last stadge of the diet you are suppose to maintain about the same diet that is on here.

  You need to do what is best for you but I will considered continuing using the extra tools you get here the support the advices etc. I don't follow the meal plan I do my own but I really like it here.

    Why can you not do both at the same time? I follow a low-carb diet set forth by my nutritionist and still do Sparkpeople. I use sparkpeople for encouragement, griping, ideas and friends. Don't leave just because you're following something different. You can do both.

    Based on the information you posted on your Sparkpage, you sound very stressed out. South Beach is a fad diet, are you looking to just loose really fast???? You risk gaining it back REALLY FAST. I understand you want to be thinner for your wedding but trust me, I've been married for 6 years, the weight does come back, with a vengeance. Be careful and try Yoga or jogging as a way to ease the tension. I hope you decide to stay with Spark. emoticon

Back on Track

Had to babysit today four kids it was crazy maddness.. I thought having one was hard wow. I managed to get my butt to the gym today I wanted to push myself hard today since it has been a couple weeks since I went to the gym. I did 6 incline on the treadmill never did that before and I averaged between 4.7 and 3.7 so I did pretty well for being gone so long. I would not suggest eating chinese food before going to the gym I got sick a couple times and had to just swallow it nasty yea tell me about it. But I am feeling better going to have one more day of baby sitting them I will hit the gym hard going to get back in my routine of things with the kinect and the gym every day

I did get on the scale today when I woke up. And I did gain weight on my vacation I am bummed big time. I have to lose this weight before Aug my wedding ugg!!

Back from Flordia messed up a little no exercise no tracking

I did make it to fl for my graduation with the ice and everything I was very nervous. Well the condo did have wi-fi but, it was out most of the time and it would kick me off all the time. So I did not track my food and no gym but, I did take walks. So I am nervous to get on the scale to see if I gained weight. I did go on the beach in a binki because there were so many overweight people doing it. So I am very nervous about the scale I have been back for my second day and have not made it to the gym yet. I am babysitting during the day for a couple weeks and that is when I usually go. I got a job today and I start working nights on Sunday so a bunch of things are going on. So I just hope the number did not go up too much.

Ok, tomorrow the big day to see if my flight comes through I am on standby. So I am schuduled for the first flight to leave once I get out of Indy I will be fine getting to flordia. So I am so stressed out I have not exercised all week and there is no gym so I will be running on the beach. So I just hope and pray we all make it with no problems and safe.
