Stress Eating???

Monday, March 01, 2010

Never considered myself a stress eater until today? Hum!!!
While having a bad day at work all I wanted to do was nibble on something, so glad that I have tons of Extra SF gum in different flavors sitting all over my desk, it made my afternoon much easier to deal with to chomp away on the gum instead of looking around for the candy. One great accomplishment that I never realized that I had in me..

Good for you that you were able to recognize it and choose a healthy way to deal with it.

Great to realize the stress desire to eat and wise release. Smart moves. Keep it up and you have part of the battle won.

Good for you. I tend to let stress get to me and then I just want to inhale chocolate. Good way to distract yourself and not give in. Keep it up!

Gluten Free Eating??

Sunday, February 28, 2010

Is getting so much easier on me now that my local grocery stores are carrying so much more of the gluten free line of foods. Now if there was a way for the manufactures to lower the prices on these foods would make me a really happy person.
Why do these foods need to be so costly? Lien Cuisine, Smart Ones you can buy for $2.00 or $3.00, Gluten Free $6.00 or more a meal. Ugh!!!
Sorry but I will stick to preparing my own quick lunches ..

It is sad how expensive it is to eat healthy! If you have a Trader Joe's near you check it out. It's a little grocery store that carries gf food among other things at a much cheaper price than regular grocery stores.

They're costly because the gf market caters to a lower number of clientele. Millions of people know of Lean Cuisine, and the others because of advertising, too. It costs more to produce food from items not in great supply.

On the plus side, you can turn to Amy's Organics available at Target and WalMart for around $3.25. Make sure you read the labels for gluten-free cause not all her products are. google her site for more info.

You are worth the extra money cause it'll save you in health care later on. :) emoticon

How far I've come!

Saturday, February 27, 2010

Keeping over 40 lbs off for over 2 years, I still have 12 more pounds until my original first mini goal, but I know I can do it. I have work to hard to ever go back to where I was 2 years ago. My motivation is myself because I know I can do this, no matter what life obstacles come my way I have the will to continue on my weight loss journey.
Just keeping off my first 40 pounds is a great accomplish for myself, I have always been on and off diets, I have always been the person to lose and gain, over and over. But this is a new me!!! I will not go back to the old me, what I have lost is gone forever. emoticon emoticon

Keeping off that first 40 for 2 years is a major accomplishment! Let's work together to get to that next goal - 12 for you / 30 for me. Hmm. I guess I'd better work double time! You can do this!

I love to exercise and lose weight?

Sunday, June 28, 2009

I love exercising and losing weight but I can't afford a new wardrobe??? I went from a size 18 from 2 years ago down to a size 12 last summer. And my clothes are getting big again. I can't afford to keep buying more clothes but I love the new me..

I've lost a total of 50 inches go me.. emoticon

But its starting to get costly.. Has anyone had success in retail shops? What do you do when your clothes start getting to baggy? I put on 4 pair of capri's this morning and they are all to big in the legs and butt only to make me look heavier than I am so I opt for the same old ones I have been wearing since summer began..

Last year at the end of summer I was going to buy some clearance clothes so I had them for this year but really didn't know what size to choose. So I won't make that mistake at the end of this summer I will just buy smaller and make that my goal.

Just was wondering what everyone else is doing about their bigger and baggy clothes.. emoticon

Have a great day everyone...

Old post but so what. I have found treasures at our local thrift shop. I visit often. When I do reach my goal weight I will rack up. They have monthly sales where every piece of clothing is $1.00 of two. With say 50 dollars you could rack up. I am all bout saving money these days. emoticon

Suggestion, take your clothes to a tailor and have them sized down and altered to fit?

P.S. Congrads on having this problem...
