Don't look back...Make every day count !!

All right yesterday for lunch I ate out and cleaned my plate.

Don't look back...don't make this an excuse to eat even more. I had a protein shake instead of another meal.

Make every day count !!! -- so today I am thinking about being skinny. Although my goal is only 20 lbs...if I had to think about loosing 120 pounds I would never be able to make it. So My first goal is 20 pounds... Look forward and make every day count .

I just had lunch... half a sandwich, raisins and carrots. I don't feel hungry but suddenly there was this delicious smell....mmmm... something like a hot dog and fries. Another mouth watering smell ....mmmm....hamburger and

OK, time to get up and move away. This was other person's lunch smells. wrong place to sit and smell all the tempting foods.

I really was not hungry until I smelled....

Good Morning

Yesterday I thought would be a great day to get out and walk during my lunch break at work. I work at ASU Tempe Campus and this time of the year it is really beautiful outside.

I figured I would walk for about 15-20 minutes, rest and read my book than walk back to the office. So I started off walking and worked up a sweat. I must of walked the whole 20 minutes for sure. I pulled out my cell phone and looked at the time ..... I had only been walking about 10 minutes. Boy Am I Out of Shape!!

    LOL..I hate a similar experience on this SAME DAY. I decided to go for my run...I hadn't run in a little while and I was really tired, but I thought...heck, I'll just see how far I can go. It was WINDY...I mean WINDY...I was running...and I thought...It's gotta be 20-30 mins. by now...I look down at my watch...9 mins...LMAO!!! Oh well... emoticon

OMG Easter

I found eating at my daughter's house for Easter interesting.

I put what I felt was appropriate for me to me on my plate and my daughter kept asking me..."Are you sure you don't want more?"

Yes, I did. But No, I didn't.

The Easter Bunny was really mean to me. She (my daughter) gave me a basket full of jelly beans and goodies.

I accidentally left the goody basket at my daughter's house when I went home.

And I finally lost some weight... this morning I was two pounds lighter

It's just the day and you are back in the saddle today-good job!!!

  I commend your self-control. Mine went completely out the window in light of no fewer than 5 dessert options at Easter dinner. Today is another day. I'm on track so far with calories, but need to drink more water.

I took a sneak peak on the scale to see if there was any difference in my weight. nope, none, forget it !!!

Why am I doing this if I see no results. Just one pound would be nice.

    From day to day, you will see a difference on the scale because of water weight and it takes a while to get that scale to move. some people lose slower than others but if you are ready to quit when you just started then you are setting yourself up to fail. As long as you are trying...then you are doing something to get healthier. There is a guy on here that weighed almost 700 pounds and he has lost 100 pounds. that is because he started doing the exercises that he could and eating right. I have used every excuse in the book to not exercise...I don't feel good...I'm to heavy. I know them all. I am trying to stop making excuses and get going.
You can do this! I always say "THE ONLY THING STOPPING YOU IS YOU!"

    You can do it, Babbs. The awareness and changes in your lifestyle are going to help you feel better and have more energy for the grandkids, which was certainly my first goal. It will work. But, oh wow, do I know how discouraging it is to get on the scale and the dang thing hasn't changed! You want to cry or crawl under a blanket or go eat everything in Baskin-Robbins! Well, that's my reaction...probably not yours! Stay in touch with the people here. Everybody is on your side!
