BLC 21 Sassy Shamrock Sherrifs, 12 week challenge has offically began on the 16th..
I feel a lot better about myself this round. I really want to reach my goals these next 12 weeks.
I know it is not going to be simple.
Some goals i have for the next 12 weeks:
Cut back on my carb intake.
Limit myself to 1 sweet a week even if that. I love sweets soo.. much!
Track all my food and water
Up my Cardio, I want to add Zumba and more intense workouts.
Strength training at least 3 times a week.
Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
Have me time!
All of this sounds amazing right! Now I just have to commit and stay motivated. I know I can accomplish these goals. I have a great team to work with!
Let's do work.. Sherrifs!
I have to keep remembering I am planning a girls weekend to Vegas this summer.. Of course I have to look and feel good about myself. emoticon

Holidays and Keeping on Track!!

Tis the season for holidays! Why do I stress about the holidays when they come... Yes, I love dessert!
So Thanksgiving has come and gone.. well I have to say I only had one plate, and not really that much on my plate. But yes I did have a slice of cheese cake. And Yes I loved it!! How I missed cheese cake.
I've been doing pretty good with not eating sweets, and really not eating a lot of food all at once.
What are my plans for surviving through the holidays..
I'm only making one plate of food, no seconds! a small piece of dessert.. then working my butt off.. LOL!!
I have to say I really don't eat that much anyways... my downfall is the dessert.. It calls my name.. LOL!! I'm going to be strong and only have one small piece of dessert!
Drink lots of water!!
Keep my fitness minutes going and on track!
Try not and stress so much, and get my 7/8 hours of sleep a night!

6 Weeks into BLC20-

Well I have to say I have been struggling to keep my goals I set for myself at the beginning of the challenge.
I haven't been doing as much cardio or strength training as I'd like.
I've been pretty busy with work, and my son's football. It will get easier, football is about done, that means more time for me to get things done!
I have been taking lunch to work. It's nice to eat what I packed and of course save some money.
I have started a new me, I have decided to stop eating bread, pasta and tortilla's.
I haven't had any sweets for a week, I'm very proud of myself. I get that craving to grab a candy bar, instead I lean towards a piece of fruit.

My Goals for the next 6 weeks of the BLC20 :
I'd like to weigh 150 at the end of the challenge. Reward: Spa day!
Track my food intake
Strength Training x3 a week
Cardio workouts/walking I want to reach 400 min a week!
No sweets limit only on special occasion if that.
Continue with no bread, pasta or tortilla's.
Up my water intake.

My main goal is to be healthy and set a good example for my kids.
I can make this change, a new lifestyle!

    Giving up bread, pasta, and tortillas is a pretty big change. I would have a hard time keeping that limitation in my life because my family loves pasta! But it's great that you are working your prgram. I hope you win the challenge.

BLC 20: 12 Week Plan

Goals for BLC20, 12 Week Challenge:

I would love to lose at least 15lbs

I have a bad habit of wanting sweets, especially when I don't need them. I am going to eat fruit instead of going for the unhealthy sweets. I'm not going to cut myself cold turkey.. Maybe one small cookie a week, if it is in my calorie range"1300".

I am going to increase my workout minutes. I have to gt at least 360 minutes a week. That's not too bad. I'd like to reach 400 minutes a week, and increase throughout the challenge.. Anything is Possible!!
I want to start doing Zumba and continue doing my Kinect workouts as well.

One other thing I sometimes struggle with is getting in my strength training, this is a must to reach my weightloss goal. I will do ST 3 times a week.

I'm going to start taking my own lunch to work, no mor eating out on a daily basis..

I need to find a way to get more water intake, it is a little more challenging at work to do this, and i'm going to make it a goal to get it done! I love nice cold water!

    One secret to keep you from turning to sweets late at night or after a workout is to eat some sort of protein right after you exercise. Building muscle will burn fat faster so it's good to make that a priority. ST training also gives you faster results than just doing cardio alone. Quitting the take out food everyday will give you awesome results. It's amazing how many calories you can cut out just by making and eating your own homemade food. I usually take a glass or water bottle with me where ever I go. You can add a lot of unnecessary calories in your diet as a result of drinking soda or other sugary drinks even if it is labeled as "diet" . Everything you wrote is attainable and I know you can do it! emoticon

    They sound like workable goals, except for the 400 minutes of exercise a week. But you know what you are capable of.

A new year!

2012 already.. that is so crazy..
I'm hoping this turns out to be an awesome year for me..
on the 11th BLC 18 starts.. yeh buddy.. can't wait to kick some butt..
I'm also starting the 24 day challenge through AdvoCare.. I'm pretty excited about getting into
gear, losing some weight and getting healthy..
I'm hoping to change not only my eating habits but my family's.. we all need to change how we eat.
So my goal is to get down to 130.. I know I can do it.. I'd love to accomplish it by my birthday or even summer.. But I'm not going to rush it..
My plan is that when I hit that 130 mark.. I'm going to get a new tattoo.. Yay! I've been wanting one for awhile now.
So I'm trying to think of some good workouts for me to do??
I was thinking about starting P90X again.. IDK!
Here is to the new year.. Let's get it done! emoticon

    OH I've been dying for a new tattoo too!!! I just want to hit the 180's before I do (roughly goal!) I'm 6ft so 130 is totally unrealistic, however between 170 and 190 is. haha Talk about some wiggle room right?

Here's to BLC18! We are going to rock it girl!
